HOpe you are recovering well. My wife was in an accident this morning. 82year old guy skipped a stop sign and hit her... Hurt her back a little, but she is at home now, sleeping.

I don't know if Telkom 3G is available around my area (Mpumalanga) but I tried searching and nothing was picked by 2 phones.

@TeenInvader

Yes, haven't seen you around for a while. Hope you are getting better and taking it easy.

@Rhino
Sorry to read about the wife. Seeing that she's at hope means she's not badly affected. Wishing her speedy recovery.

I'll second both of those replies.

ROLMFAO@ Dups! Didn't mean to jinx the thread like that. Just saw a lot of padlocks next to certain threads and it didn't figure a rocket scientist to figure that they had all been hijacked by the Moroccan mob.
@Rhino: Hope your wife feels better soon.

@Dups: I've never seen such a fervent bunch of posters. They're using wap so usually they'll post in the topic that's at the top of the pile in the regional forums.

So true brix.

Seems like Symbian has gone back on their word of backward compatibility with S60. This to me sounds promising because it seems to spell an overhaul of the new Os.

I hope I'm right that the ties with S60 will be minimalist. I'm still set on Android but if Symbian is spectacularly impressive I may just reconsider. At this stage I'm 99.9 percent sure Android is my next move.

Shame,hope your better half will be fine, i had a very old man driving behind me the other day, kept me on edge,my eyes were constantly on that rear view mirror hoping he doesnt rear end me.

That HTC Hero is looking so good right now, still not completely convinced by Android. Im at HowardForum's Android and Palm Pre-WebOS section, and i see quite a few complaints about both not always being able to pull off simple tasks well, and battery life on both not being so good, but then again they are still new.

@Hobbs

Yes, I think a change is definitely good for me this time around. As I mentioned before I'm up for an upgrade in January next year and then around June on my second contract so I've got some time to go before I make a final decision.

@GUCCI

The Hero is running the first edition of Android, version 2 has just been announced last month on the 26th. Although it still is unstable and error filled it looks like it will really push the Iphone hard. I should think by the end of the year it should be a little bit stable. Besides, it is yet to be released, it was only announced.

@Dups!: The one area where the iPhone beats all competition is with its AppStore. Even in backwaters like South Africa you can still get the latest apps even if we don't have an iTunes store.
