@Kriomag
For a fluorescent bulb light i've got a strips for a pictures of text on white pages. Also in VR mode.
In some early camdrivers i fixed it by inserting line
06 02 00 01 02 21 #CMD_END //50Hz detect
in driver part
seq_init=05 02 00 0B D0 ...
before last line
06 02 00 01 01 55 #CMD_END;

For 21.8 it doesn't work. Any possibility to fix?
Thx...

can u modify w550i camera driver like Kriomag_v21.8_CCkopritis_CID49__Other_modification_by_Jonaugust_69? without manual and autofocus

- Base driver: 21.4
- 2 Quality Modes (Picture Quality NORMAL: Default Modes, Picture Quality FINE: EM/ENM/LedEM/LedENM)
- JPEG 89% (for Normal & Fine Picture Quality)
- AE Lock
- Enhanced Modes Support WB Profiles (also with LED)
- CC

this is w550i orginal camera driver

awesome! Btw krio... i like this 21.8 a lot. Good colours, but sometimes no focus (sometimes), and if you could sharpen it up a little (i already asked you this a few times no offence ), that would be super. Any news about chengrong?

when i tested it focusing was as good as in original driver, exactly the same. 21.7/21.6... and earlier had focusing problem with macro but its fixed in 21.8

krio, i've checked the 21.8 fixed cam driver. The highlighted command u asked to edit is already there

i 've pasted crop from 21.8, now you have to download original 4.5 or 5.3 driver by sony and search the same lines and copy them to 21.8 (and put the highlited commands like it was in 21.

PS. sorry... you also have to change prop...5_0 to be same as 5_1 (so the compression level of jpeg be the same for NORMAL and FINE quality )

EDIT:
you know what? here you have 21.8 with default JPEG (from 4.5/5.3):

I tried Kriomag v21.8 CCkopritis by Jonaugust_69. It will sound very funny maybe, but on my wc at night with led, the CC is great:)) Without it, classic krio v21.8 with led in total dark is going into light blue colours (with cc too, but from my view not so much). (yes pictures..., I have no time now to make any and the old...well, I don't think, it would be nice idea, to have photos of playing Mr.Kája on his toilet at midnight here, am I right?:)))

Is anyone going to tell me what "Spot Support" is or not?

its for Spot photometry. it means it will use the middle of the picture to determine exposure levels.. this can be useful if youre trying to shoot something indoors with sunlight in the background coming through a window or something.. without spot, the object will be black/very dark because of the exposure level.

Thanks. I like your drivers, by the way

Nirodha.. thanks for the compliment

W810 users.. of 4.81... .. after more tests, I've concluded that a sharpness level of 5 is overall better than 6. 6 works better in some conditions, but in just taking random shots both outdoors and indoors, using 5 gives better clarity.. so...

1) either do a find-replace and replace all occurences of "06 56" with "05 56"

or

2) just download this version of 4.81 with sharpness set to 5

Thanks for the update!
Under what conditions is sharpness 6 better than 5?

@Everyone Does the Mxe-60 flash work any differently with the modified cam drivers?

well.. its so hit and miss..

for close up shots, 6 is definitely better and will give a sharper picture.

for midrange shots, its a tossup.. i cant decide.. but maybe 5 is a bit better.

on my phone, 5 gives slightly better landscape shots outdoors, but now that i think about it, i think its because of my scratched lens.. with 6 its sharper on the edges but blurred in the middle where its scratched..

so..

ok stick with 6.. but experiment with 5.. and see what works better on your phone ive changed my mind and decided to stick with 6 for my phone..

i remember seeing someone's driver once where they had actually set the sharpness to 16!! (it was '10' since its 16 in hex).. but supposedly it came out blurry he said.. i wonder what the limit is? ive never tried anything higher than 06...
