Hi 1republic!
After seeing the 'Rachael' UI and having been one of those that felt SE needs an Os that they can turn into a success (from their smartphone perspective) I think I have found my new home after UIQ.
What's left is for SE to give me a P1-esqe Android phone and I'm willing to upgrade late next year.

@ Gucci:
Ya, especially with the opening scene to the music video, when he tries to get himself together and off the bed, before selecting and putting on all his bling.

@EMS06: Like many folks I'd like to see how that UI works on an actual phone and not in emulated form. Watching the video last night I was mightily impressed, it looks even more 'impressive' than the iPhone's UI.
PS: Does anyone know why the 'Paris' was eventually cancelled?

Maybe because SE were going to drop UIQ, and as far as i know Paris had the same hardware under the hood as the P990 and P1 so they probably thought it wouldnt do well.

Absolutely brix25!
If it works like that on an actual phone then SE have finally done something right after 3 years of screwing up. The fact that they are using a snapdragon processor tells me it is as fast. Either way I'm going with Android, my mind's made up. I really feel this is a goldmine for SE.
As for Paris, GUCCI's correct, Paris was just another P990i/P1i with a 5 mega pixel camera and aGPS. Basically, an upgrade of the P1. I just think they cancelled it because they felt it wouldn't do well seeing that it wasn't really far ahead in technology as the P1 and people had complained about the lack of innovation from their smartphones. I doubt if the death of UIQ had anything to do with it since they brought out the G700/900 afterwards.

Nokia's new 6303 has already dropped in price to a very attractive 79.95 (approx R1100) from the UK's Carphone Warehouse:

Nokia 7310 now 49.95 (approx R650) from Carphone Warehouse here. Should be pretty popular with the younger n' fairer gender:

@ Gucci, our Symbian Sangoma:
Ya, 2Wanq must literally get his act together and start some recording; there are times that I'd rather deal with the fame n' fortune of being a leading Wanqsta Rapper than sorting out all the kaka that often comes with my chosen profession in this country, LOL.
