I must admit we are starved for a mighty phone from SE aren't we?
I suppose we have to wait and see what will be announced.
Personally, I think the 16mp camera, 1.5ghz processor, 1g RAM are somewhat likely but the internal memory and Gingerbread I doubt. SE has never been a fan of massive internal memory and Gingerbread is still to be announced so what are the chances of SE having it in a phone that is to be released (presumably) in January?
I am getting a little bit sober now and things are beginning to look clearer.
I wait for SE to prove me wrong.

Google just installed a Gingebread man in front of their HQ, which as tradition suggests, means that the development has been completed.
That changes things a bit. |

so to sum it up we know the following for the x10 successor:
->it will run on the latest version of android(gingerbeard)
->it will have a 4" oled. better than iphone4(in res),screen that will support multitouch
->it will have either a 12mp or 16mp camera module with fullhd rec
->it will have a dual-core proc. at 1.5ghz with 1gb ram and 16gb flash memory
->it will have a 1800mah battery
.....so where's the catch??/i mean it cant posibbly do everything right without some flaws...
i believe it wont have fm radio rds(lol) or it wil have fastport(double lol) |

You won't believe how extremely excited I was when I first saw that but my excitement turned quickly into sadness after realising that that phone is US only. That was my next phone without a shadow of a doubt.
Seeing that I can't get it I'm hoping SE finally releases a true successor of the P1i in Android.
@synn
I suppose that does alter the situation a bit but I'm still wondering how long it will take snail-paced SE to fully optimize it for the X12 is it is to be released in January- again the release schedule is a rumour nothing more.

If the specs are correct, the only flaw I can think of is X12's (X16's) price... |

Totally agree with you. Still, I am sure it will cost an arm and a leg. |

Seeing that I'm using two lines this would definitely be on my 'next buy' items while waiting for the P1i-esque Android phone.
If the specs are true then I won't care much about the price.

A person at a swedish mobile forum said, in a discussion about X12, that he was told by a friend working at Ericsson to wait until spring to buy a new phone indicating you know what. If this is true 1) X12 wont be released in february rather end of march/april. 2) X12 will probably be running on the U8500 platform since the information came from an Ericsson employee, not SE. |
