We have a week till April is gone and still no news of GPRS from both Mtel and Vmobile. No news about ANYTHING from MTN. Will a miracle happen in the next few days?

@AYA: MTN might drop a bomb an announce that they've lowered GPRS tariffs:-) Down here it's seems like some people insist that SA subscribers all 20 million of us use branded phones that have limited functionality.

I called Mtel customer care like 2 weeks ago and one lady told me to go to their service center at Ikeja that gprs is available and only on postpaid. |

To only have GPRS for post-paid subscribers.

I agree with Brix cos i see no reason where gprs should be limited to postpaid only. i'm not about to go sign a contract with Mtel of all operators cos of gprs, to hell with them.

I agree that Mtel's stand is a very retarded one. No point talking about it though.
I really hope MTN 'surprises' us, as much as I don't like Yellow
@brym: Welcome to the club. Now you know what you've been missing.
@all: I have been in bed with a fever since saturday. I'm posting this from Mr Biggs where I am having the 1st meal I have enjoyed in days. Of course, GPRS is yet to be back at my residence/office |

@AYA, Sorry O! Hope you observed malaria day yesterday? GPRS is down in my area too and I am wondering if the RELTEL offer wouldn't have been better . .<

I can't believe you guys are having problems with GPRS... The networks should be held to account for promising services which they clearly can't deliver.
That's just my two cents from a sunny Cape Town.
