AIDA is like a flattard (flatearth believer for those who don't know) and only cherry picks random bits of information to assert fact without any form of logic or reason to support it.

Let's see this 3rd secret device that will emerge, but with xz2 and xz2 compact Sony dropped the ball big time. The removal of the headphone jack is the reason i won't buy another Sony phone until they put it back. So pissed right now. |

Ok. Maybe we should continue ignoring her again or just report her for ban. |

milanelo - it's probably true. so probably no sony for you. only a matter of time before ALL OEMs worth a damn follow suit. it's the trend of the future. that being said, bluetooth audio has improved drastically in recent years. give it a shot before you write it off. also, if sony does give a splitter adapter then you'll have your headphone jack, albeit clumsy but it's there.

Sadly Moogoo is right. Sooner or later all OEMs will follow the suit.just like removable batteries and RF transmitters.

Some pages ago I said that I believe pro version will make an appearance but I should mention again that this isn't insider info.just my humble opinion. |

Forget about trends. I think that removal of the 3.5mm jack is a cardinal sin. It is simply unforgivable. |

The next few days are going to be very interesting to say the least.

Will be very nice to see black bars on this duo when you use services provided by Sony Pictures and PS.
They dont use 18:9.
Last year they said no.plans for 18:9, that jack was not going anywhere.
Are they really going to offer the adapter? Because many markets dont get fast charger out of box, sometimes not even the cheap earphones.
@XJ Does the sim slot require tool like all other that copy Apple or still is the flap?

Quick question regarding the headphone jack.
If all brands suddenly drop it from their entire range moving forward what would you do then?
It looks like Sony will provide a splitter in the box anyway plus with all Android DEVICES running Oreo now have LDAC support I really don't see what the issue is personally.
@Moe not a clue unfortunately mate.

The jack going away is sad. Having a splitter is nice but it's not a clean solution. Bluetooth has improved but it's still a pretty terrible wireless technology as far as getting things connected and staying connected in comparison to others. Sometimes having a hardware solution is better and how much space does a headphone jack really take up anyway?
looking forward to monday for sure. i want to see something amazing, but i fear i'll be tempted to upgrade when i shouldn't be spending the money
