I'm not a fan of asymmetry. I have slight OCD tendencies on these things though.
Uneven top and bottom bezels looks weird when viewing anything horizontally. Furthermore it seems at odds with stereo speakers. I know technically it will have no effect on stereo speakers but it just feels weird.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

By the way I don't think the flagships will bear this design language. Assymetry loses the luxury appeal. I think sony will opt for the the tube concept with metal casing. Bravia tv's sides kind of resemble what I mean. Seriously assymetry is not a good thing for luxury brands. Hope Sony does not go that way. |

Sorry I haven't checked this thread for a long time but would any one tell me when Z4 is expected to launch internationally?
Since I need a new phone and I'm pretty sure It's going to be an Xperia. I was hesitant to buy the Z3 a while ago before the rumors of 810 overheating and in retrospect that seems like a bad decision. Besides the CPU upgrade is there going to be anything noteworthy? Or should I buy the Z3? I suppose I could wait a few months more but not much more than that.
Sorry if a bit off topic. |

Regarding the design, i think sony will maintain this bezel less design but the top and bottom bezels will be more symmetric and narrower in comparison to omnibalance devices. the thicker design rumor suggest that.
@krapster
Buy z3 or z4 if you are in japan or wait for october-november launches of new series of devices. z4 new features: flapless usb port, refined design, s810, no restriction for 4k video recording time.

I think they mentioned that they're going to show international version near the end of May. |

With the Xperia Z4 going international this month, I honestly don't foresee the Xperia Z5 this year.
It makes perfect sense why Sony lower their sales prediction of mobile phones for the rest of this year.

@McKinley
Well, according to the rumors, z4 may not be available in all regions, is the smallest flag iteration and q4 main flag is in the making, go argue with that. it makes a q4 flag is expected, especially with them trying to lengthen z3 life with the i can ads. |

Top bezel is big probably due to the camera module...right ?
I would love to see Sony go crazy with the new phone design...They always felt different ...

Is this fully global or only select markets? |

Sony Mobile launched in Japan Xperia Z4 has some days, many users wondered if the nest enhanced version of Xperia Z3 will visit the domestic market, the answer is yes. Nest recently got the news, the aircraft will be landing in the Mainland market by the end of May, which means that there are about ten days time. As to whether the domestic name Xperia Z4 temporarily unclear, there may be Xperia Z3 +. However, there have been rumors before that, after the domestic sales of Xperia models will not take custom route, but directly after the international version of the model is removed using Google services sold, this is undoubtedly good for future upgrades.
As for the specific release date and price, and so we need to cough.

Maybe I missed it but have the PY7-PM081x and PY7-PM086x models been identified or presumed what they might be?
The PY7-PM078x has similar location and perhaps even design to the to PY7-PM086x if you just go by the label location docs but probably not the same.
The japanese Z4 passed thru the FCC again last week btw, PY7-PM079x (91, 92, 94), so probably international model, as the original, PY7-PM0793 went thru the FCC in middle of April and this seems to be the Japanese Z4.
Perhaps this lavender phone is the PY7-PM081x or PY7-PM086x. Who knows.

If these phones are prototypes for new Z5 line, compact, regular, and ultra, I feel the chances of the 820 are slim. Has it even started sampling yet? |
