Hi, just got this from another forum:

4) Is there an Auto-Brightness function? (thanks to Cradle)
Yes. To activate, place a Power Control widget on your home screen and you should see a sunlight button on the right. Press that to toggle between the backlight mode. The order of the mode is as follows: Minimum -> Auto -> Maximum. If you try to manually adjust the backlight brightness after setting it to 'Auto', 'Auto brightness" will be disabled.

just to share

The Arc has an ambient light Sensor. The only issue is that its too slow in adjusting the brightness.

My Arc is in my hands.
Great phone. I will stay with it for the long time probably yeah.

More tomorrow because I want to play with it and I lost my PC powercord. But night shots are very very good, never seen that on good on phone.
Like it very much.

Nice to hear welcome back to SE! (All the wp6 guys at xda seems to have switched to android also. Imo android is more like wp6 than wp7 anyway, customize ftw! )

I decided install the screen protector that came in the box on top of the one already applied.

It turns out the one in the box in smaller than the installed one.

I can't see any differences on the display after applying it, and the sensitivity seems fine.

I think it is easy to use although I do keep hitting the full stop key at the wrong time too often. I keep ending up with full stops in messages at the wrong part
