I always have the shutter sound turned off. It just plain annoys me when its switched on.

Just a quick question. Apologies if its been mentioned. Does the o2 branded k850 have flash themes or have they been dissabled?

O2 havnt diabelled or removed anything on the K850i.

The only o2 have done, Is change the play now button to to O2, start up and shut down are o2 logos.

Other than that the phone has Generic SE software from what i have seen.

Dorry I should have worded it better.

O2 start up and shutdown are there, O2 theme and the o2 logo where the play now logo normaly is.

Thats it tho.

I have noticed a slight problem with the phone which i think might be a firmware issue or a SE Web Issue When you try to download some of the things of the SE fun website, the phone says that it incorrect or isnt supported by the phone.

All the Free software java programmes dont work and the free games!

Funny!

I have finally sorted mine out. Got one coming thursday or friday. It is one of the new batch to come in on wednesday, hopefully any issues will be sorted, although I am aware it is still very soon after release.

I havnt any issues or lock up as of yet.

Some of the menus can become slow when scrolling round. But other than that ok.

The touch screen feature is fine (Which i am supprised) Ive used Edge/GPRS and 3g when on wap, but not made a 3g call as of yet, That will be in next few days.

Other than that everything is fine.

I wish i had my date and time in standby with out having to press a button, but i will have to get used to it not being there, And the date and time feature i have checked isnt on the camera mode any more (which is a shame)

Happy with everything else, Or appart from finger prints (Oh my god)

well... my (17yo) son has kept his K800 as second phone for mucking around, doing parcours/skating etc etc but prefers his N95

however... he has now given the K850 "full approval" and though he says the N95 still does better images and video he has declared that he "wants one"!

for me, unfortunately I'm bored already. I think I just can't live with a device that doesnt have a touch screen any more as any other input just sees archaic unfortunately

I agree plankgatan, I think it is a firmware issue.

I hope they do give us the choice.

Im extremely happy with the photos and today We have been compairing the K800, K810, K850, N95 and The New samsung G600

The K850 took most the best shots, with the N95 coming in at a close second, The K810-K800 were both respectable but what shocked us was the Samsung, It was just poor, colours didnt look right, nor did the camera fous well which was a shame.

Received my K850 from 02 today!! BUT.... they sent me blue they told me it would be green, but it doesnt look as bad as it does on the pics, the silver doesnt look all that bad (but would look better all black imo)
Nothing as regard to locking up/freezing/crashing though as said, does seem a bit slow as of yet, hopefully a firmware upgrade in the not too distand future will cure that.
Photos look fantastic, im impressed with the video recording improvement too, much better than k800, and the camera shutter with blue led ring is just ultra cool. The 'touch screen' works briliantly, very responsive, mine came with 512mb M2, but the 1G from my k800 has gone straight in, and the the faux suade wriststrap (From the k810?) is nice too. Gonna be keeping a glasses lens cleaner cloth with me to keep that gloss black nice and shiny though! haha
As of yet, well done SE, its living up to my expectations

But anyone else finding the keys uncomfortable to use?

Oh and where can I find an SE 'workshop' to DPY flash my phone? How much is this or is it done under warranty?

I'm happy with a hardscreen device as my main handset, though mainly because I've not been happy with the camera in the htc devices I've owned and I can't really afford to just go out and buy the one that will suit my needs. So I've always opted for a Kseries as my main handset for everday use. I tried using my N70, but honestly I just can't get into Nokia UI, it irritates, and a hardscreen smartphone just seems so pointless to me, as you say, the input is archaic.

My hope is that SE will release a UIQ3 K series, with dpad and normal keypad, but touchscreen as well.

It was magic to see to ppl that cared about each other enjoying the same thing.

By the way, what was the couple doing?

Actually there were hugging one another & smiling.
I was feeling really sad that my girlfriend didn't come with me that night
