Explosions on London Underground! |

I respect that also but think about it logically..if your a terrorist and you have struck the captial of Europe in many senses...are you likely to strike again on the next day? The fact that they set of 6/7 bombs/explosions yesterday shows they wanted to catch everyone off guard. Also they now London will be on high alert now, so what would be the point in attacking again today.
I know its easy to say this in hindsight but its the reactive nature of our intellegence units (rather than proactive) that are not helping. Terrorists will rarely ever attack again straight after an initial major attack, now the event has happened I doubt anything will happen again in the short short future.
Its a sad scenario anyhow.

I think Miss C took the decision not to go into Liverpool based on what she knows, which is just as much anyone else knows, i dont think she needs some one "preaching" to her about what she is doing is letting terroists win.

There has been an underground station evacuated most days for years due to a 'Suspect package'. It's not news, it's daily life in London. Victoria bus station has had a regular tannoy announcement reminding people not to leave their lugguage unattended or it will be destroyed.

I sympathise with Miss Copperfield. Fir enough you can say dont give into Terrorists, but DO YOU want to risk your life in that manner nd be worried when you go for a simple thing like shopping or for a drink/to a bar?
These people if caught should not be prosecuted...they should be given an immeadiate death sentance IMHO. Im not stpulating here as in terms of a particular religion/race/group of people...but those INDIVIDUALS should be "removed"...

Your fear is real and hardly surprising. But the terrorists have had EXACTLY the effect on you they planned; you're scared.
I'll be going in to Cental London shortly. What am I meant to do, stay in bed for a week? |

There's bound to be a few 'false alarms' after something like this, people will be very jittery, and as Jiggy says, they're a regular occurence anyway.
As the website that Axxxr has put a thread on for, I'd say show you're not afraid and defy these terrorists by going to London Miss C, but if you decide not to (which is sounds like you have) go then your decision should be respected
@JiggyJaggy - I wouldn't use the death sentence, I'd rather see these people rot in jail for the rest of their lives, give them time to think about what they've done, and repent at leisure. And if they are Islamic extremists, who would probably be happy at the death sentence, a life in jail would be the ultimate punishment for them. Keep the b*stards alive for as long as possible as that is what they wouldn't want!
btw, is it just me or has the text window for posts suddenly gone very thin?

I'll be going to the Cathedral later to make offerings.

Now THATS a valid point/reason.
I drove to wok today...and I tell you every single person I looked at in their cars was down and almost morbid. A friends mum was actually killed at Edgeware Road yesterday...put things into respective.
Makes things like messing around with toys and gadgets and going out on the town futile in comparison to what happened yeserday...

I have decided i am not going to go
I dont care what other people think i dont go out to liverpool every weekend anyway as i am not much of a drinker plus i am skint anyway
If my friends are real friends they will understand
I am not letting them win i am being cautious i would never forgive myself if anything happened that i was caught up in and left my family behind
It sounds stupid but thats what i am doing
There will be other nights out
