hi just thought id share my experiences
tried to debrand o2 phone with multiserver 1.27 and dss-20 sync station.
well not too surprisingly it didnt work, just got stuck saying turn on phone (or something)
strange thing is that now my phone randomly has white screen flashes, followed by keyboard flashing then it has to search for the network again. this happens every 10 to 20 mins and interupts any call etc..
so i guess this is a word of warning against trying the dss-20 with 1.27
 cake anyone? |

Ok, the server is back up so I thought I could try out the decustomize with my dcu-11 cable. But when I click on the "Download Area", how do I actually get the files? All I get is a tree view like in the picture

I think the decustomize file is in the R2L001 folder.

Hi, thanks for your reply. The thing is that I can't seem to get into any of the folders. I can highlight the folders (like in my picture) but then can't figure out how to actually open it and look whats inside. Is there some sort of secret key to press... or is this a problem with v1.27 :-S

Once you've highlighted the folder you want, click "download" button on the total server app, then they should end up in the "files" folder on your pc in the same folder that the total server app is in.
I hope that makes sense,

Hmmm, very strange. I have tried all sorts of clicking lol. Plus many of the usual keys you would associate with opening things - but nothing happens
EDIT: when i highlight a folder i don't get the option to download - it just stays grayed out

Yeah, could be - either the software or the server. I just re-downloaded too to check I have to latest version, but still no luck. Oh well, will have to wait for an update I think - thanks for your help anyway guys.

Thanks to Iamcrunchie for all the info.
Successfully de-branded a vodafone k700i using a re-wired mobile action ma-8910 usb cable. So if you've got one of them kicking around then use that!
Phone is now all it should be!

Can someone get their multi meter out and tell me which pins are connected to what on the 9 pin serial service cable.
on the phone end I have pins 6,7, 9-11 and 10 used, not sure about the serial end.
I have credit, files, program and a dodgy cable ..very frustrating
Cheers

Successfully debranded/upgraded my O2 K700i. Tried with DSS-25 with no success. Worked perfectly with the T28 service cable from "face off" (I guess the signal multi-server waits for is probably one of the control lines from the UART instead of some sort of boot-string).
Thanks to iamcrunchie for turning up this gem.
