wonder if any have slipped into movies unintentionally? You know like sometimes you see a roman gladiator with a wrist watch. Maybe there is a movie with an extra in with an SE mobile hanging off his belt in full King Henry the 8th court regalia? Or a cowboy riding the range with a P1 hanging from his saddle bag?
Now that would be a rare and classic SE spotting.

Just saw an Ericsson R380 or something similiar on James Bond - Tomorrow Never Dies - It's Bond's phone, and it's not just a phone but a remote controller for his BMW (opens sideway like a communicator and the screen shows the view from the car and where the keyboard should be is a driving control pad).
It's also a stun gun, and a fingerprint scanner.

yeah, that ones been mentioned in this thread previously
btw, we have a dedicated thread for it here too, the model number is actually JB988 with the "JB" prefix of course!, though I have no idea where the 988 comes from...

Oops, and I've read this whole thread too Silly me. I was just so excited to see an Ericsson. Makes me realise how old I am, I'd forgotten how old that movies is now
That also explains why I didn't recognise the phone. Obviously JB = James Bond, but notice that 988 breaks down to 7 (9+8+8=25, 2+5=7). I wonder if that was intentional?

the next james bond is now filming and is due on the 4th quarter of 2008.
we'll be feasting our eyes on handsets there. it will be an phone galore!
james bond could be texting in the rain using a c702; doing a web hosting using PARIS; recording a spy video using SHIHO etc etc.
the rumored phones we are discussing now will be showcased there for sure.

As a contrast, American sitcoms use new phone models (aka Rules of Engagement - K800), Aussie TV uses old phones (povs that we are!). Just spotted a T610 being used by a detective on the brand new Aus TV series "Underbelly" (about organised crime in Australia).
Mind you the way our police are paid I wouldn't be surprised if they actually are forced to use 5 year old phones!

Not sure if this was posted here, on mobile. I had seen the retro W350 in Usher's latest video for "Love In This Club" in the beginning of the video where he receives a phone call. I had posted this in this phone's thread as well.
