I know the Bat-Low problem:
You really have to 'quit' the programme and not leaving by tapping on a different functies (Like :: or messages)

Yeah, if you just go to an Ericsson centre and get your p800 updated, it will automatically be the latest version....

GREAT NEWS - VIDEO IMAGE SIZE - CAMCODER

================================

The P800 can only handle video file dimensions no greater than 196 x 144 pixels, right?

Well, erm ....... no wrong.

I suspected that this limitation was artificial so I ran a test.

I produced an MP4 video file of 352 x 288 pixels in size.

It played flawlessly using the Camcoder to playback the video

So it is now apparant that this 196 x 144 limitation is a limit set by the default installed video player (Packet Video Player) and NOT a limitation of our beloved P800 (If you try to play anything larger than 196 x 144 with Packet Video Player, it displays an error message and refuses to run the video).

Producing files as large as 352 x 288 obviously means you get better results on full screen playback.

But please take note that I produced the MP4 using PV Author. Other MP4 encoding programs e.g. Apple QuickTime do not allow you to set dimensions so large.

Later on today or sometime tomorrow I will be doing a brief review of the major MP4 encoding programs so that you can see what can and can't be acheived with each program.

So once again the Camcoder comes up trumps. I just pray they allow AAC audio encoding, dual encoding and all the other features I have mentioned previously.

It is already clear from this early Beta version that Camcoder is bar far the best MP4 video player out there.

I just can't wait to encode my first feature film length MP4 video
