Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Announced |

I probably won't get the Z5 Premium, my eyes are now set on a iPad Pro 128GB LTE, to replace my aging iPad 4 which has/is serving me beautifully since 2012.
My Note 4 got the 5.1.1 update from my network and it is running so well again, I figure no point in getting a new phone in 2015, rather wait for the Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8 devices.
I am still looking forward to giving the Z5 Premium a go though, IMO, this is the phone of 2015, especially after Sony confirmed how the 4K display works. What annoys me is how this piece of innovation is not being hyped! Sony have done a fantastic job and have shown how high res displays SHOULD be done in mobile.

Apparently the premium has great battery life: from 7:30 to 18:49, 3 on screen time, battery is at 45%. Tester words. |

@Jamzy
It is someone from my coutry who receives new mobile devices before launch for drm programming (data protection for copyrighted applications). he posted battery results on facebook but it is in hebrew, you could translate with google but he took the post down i guess for his job sake, hehe. anyway, the display was on auto brightness. for heating concerns he says he shot 18 minutes in 4k and no out of the ordinary heating.

@Ricky D
I use it mainly for TB too specially when I factory reset, update to new version ( I always do clean upgrades ) switch phones.. I also use Folder Mount, love to do some clean up also like remove camera sounds, etc... all which require root
I'm not that much of a ROM changer, I like Stock ROM's more.. but if the phone started to be slow after 1.5~2.0 years then I might try different ROM's starting with stock based ones... I never installed a non stock rom on my current S4, but on my Xperia S I installed several till I found the last one which is based on Android 5.1.1 and damn this is fast and much much more fluid than my crappy S4 !!

Xperia M5 camera sample looks better than Xperia Z5 Premium chinese samples http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_m5-review-1306p8.php Don't judge Z5 series just yet. It can't be worse than m5 so Ill pass my judgement on the final retail unit not prototype. Besides the chinese is not running the same firmware as gsmarena

The Xperia M5 takes good shots for being a mid-ranger.

I see the differences in full size in the noise reduction, M5 is a bit smoother and has less artifacts in some shots. |

According to one online retailer here in Poland, the date of premiere is supposed to be November 6th. Same time as the spectre premiere, makes sense. |

I'm genuinely excited to get my hands on the Premium. In Chrome obviously.
I really hope the dual-sim is available in the first half of November, I'm travelling in the second half and would love to have a shiny new travelling buddy.

I wonder if both speakers are activated when doing calls in the premium. |
