You should've used the same wallpapers on your Macbook and your ZU so we an compare how ZU display fares against one of the best LCD screens on a laptop

@away, there's a difference between stating an opinion which I am entitled to to do so and trolling page after page slagging something down. I mearly stated that on something this pricey there should be a flash for the camera. And I also have another point. The icons look way too tiny on that huge screen doesn't look right to me. But nice looking photos and looks good in white. But too big

I always remember reading that what is the point of having a huge screen if we can't fit more on it, and yet now finally someone made a big device that can display much more information's on one screen and you're saying that it looks weird? I for myself feel that standard grid launcher should display more icons on 5inch screen, like the on Z Ultra. Remember that someone calculated that icons on Z ultra have the same physical size as those on xperia S.
Even if it looks weird, I think that it's good that it's not showing the same amount of information's as the smaller 5 inch devices. That would make the huge screen slightly useless.
About the trolling.
I agree that nobody should be attacked for his opinions, unless he's violent and attacking others in his messages. In this case of LED flash I think that if it would be possible to include one without compromising anything they would do it. They either couldn't make it as thin(and that would make it harder to handle and heavier) or they just couldn't physically fit it in there.
One way or another, it's not a deal breaker. If I'd like to use it as a flashlight I'd power up the screen |

Couldn't fit a tiny LED in there?? Now that really is a poor excuse

The Screen of the Xperia Z Ultra is simply brilliant. The triluminous display of the phone on full brightness is much more vibrant, detailed and sharper than the 13" Retina Macbook Pro. The clarity and crispness of the Z Ultra screen to the naked eye is astounding. Makes even the retina macbook pro display looked a tiny bit washed out. Not Sure if it is easily evident on the photos below, but to the naked eye it is extremely obvious.
Below are some comparison snaps of the Xperia Z Ultra and the 13" Retina Macbook Pro on full brightness settings, with automatic brightness adjustment turned off. They are Showing the same High definition wallpapers. You can see the full size image for a better idea.

ZU's screen is obviously brighter than the retina MBA, I'm not sure with the blown highlights though, could that the camera used to take the picture can't cope well with highlight clipping or anything(did you shoot this with a compact camera?) I know I sounded too demanding but what about viewing angles?

@razec:
The photos have been clicked with a Nikon D5100 SLR with flash turned off.
I am only an occasional casual photographer and not an expert. So I do not understand what you mean by "blown highlights"
As for the viewing angles, it is extremely good for a phone. The screen is very readable even at extreme angles almost tangential to the surface, but towards extreme angles the colours do get a bit washed out. But for practically normal use, it is not noticeable at all.
In terms of viewing angle it is not as good as the retina macbook pro, which has excellent viewing angles in all directions. But then again, it is a phone.

I'm so tempted in getting this beast, anyone from the states who can recommend a good retailer?
Moving to Los Angeles soon, it could come in handy with a phone able to do submerged shooting
