Hey, Deadman where did you go?
Can you take a picture of the box? |

Sorry guys, I'm a little tired. I've made those pictures, to prove, that the guy, who started to talk about the T68i doesn't lie.
Believe me, that this phone exists, I've holded it my hands, made pictures about it, but I cannot ask my friend every day, that please, come to my office, let me take some more pictures of your phone.
BTW, it was about $650, it came without box.
Sorry, but there was a bit of political-ideological conversation between my wife and her (girl) friend, and I'm a bit tired, as I said

Ahhhhh, I have just read all the posts in this thread and peaple are stupid.
Somebody said that the hardware was the same since both phones hade R1A writen on them, you can't just look at the R-number. Just look at the numbers and everybody can se that no numbers are the same. Compare CDA 102 096/1 R1A (T68i) and CDA 102 058/1 R1A (T68m), you can see that it is not the same even if they both are R1A.
The same goes for the software. T68i has CXC 125 319 R1A and the T68m has CXC 125 409 R2A. So even if Sony Ericsson updates CXC 125 319 R1A to R2A it will not be the same number as CXC 125 409 R2A.
About the memory, there are some peaple out there with MMS software on there T68m. Can you have a look and se how much memory there are available? The T68i has 748 KB available according to http://www.aperfectaudience.com/t68i20.jpg
The only thing that make me think is that the FCC ID is not a valid FCC ID.

Yes the Fcc Id is interesting usually fcc reviews the phone alot before it hits anywhere. That means right after the phone is manufactured the company sends it to the fcc to see if it passes standards, then they would continue manufacturing he rest. This can be either the t68i has the same exact hardware as the t68 and there is no need for a resend to the fcc,[ but what is curious the id is different], or fcc hasn't posted it on their site yet which is impossible it's the damn US gov which they have nothing to do anyway and updating someting like this would give them a little work to do.
Well the phone does exist and it doesn't look like a prototype.
It's just a mess to understand what is really going on.

But the battery is not a produktion battery. The number is BKB 193 163/71 FP1 and it should be at least BKB 193 163/71 R1A if it was a production battery.

maybe these T68i units are really intended for Network Systems developers/testers so they can test it with their network with its MMS capabilities, but somehow it got out of the gray market... remember that: (1.)Dark saw it in a GSM shop which is NOT an official service point; then (2.)Deadman said it has no box; (3.) We must agree that the casing of the T68i in the picture is rather crude and cheap looking; (4.)according to apaman the FCC # is not official; (5.) according to Psydave the batteries are not production type; and the list goes on and on..... what do you guys think???

You might be right, because when I look in the service hidden menus I can see versions for the LCD display.

..or maybe this whole thing is just a marketing ploy just to heat things up just before the final release of the MMS FW upgrade..
and its working!
