Aha - another ViewTY owner Mine is no longer with me but i had great fun with it until I switched to the W995.
Someone was asking for W995 videos here, here are two samples - one night shot (in nightmode) and another in daylight.
W995 night movie
W995 day movie
Not much to write about - pretty sure it can be better than this given the right mod. |

After experimenting with a lot of W995 colours I felt like doing it the old fashioned way- Black & White

The downside of the W995's LED flash is taking photos in a pitch black room (e.g. nightclub) ... would you be able to take a photo in a pitch black room for me? Similar to the one you had in your computer room at home, but needs to be 100% dark.
Here are two examples of a completely dark room with flash
~9ft distance from the wall
~30ft distance from the furthest wall
As you can see, the flash is more powerful than the average LED
On another note, here are some evening macro shots without flash
And with flash

@spiid ... thankyou so much for the photos, the quality looks very good, you can even see the fingerprints on the samsung screen! ... Question: when you took that photo, how far away were you holding the W995 to the Samsung phone?
@mode ... thanks for helping again, you're always able to answer my questions! The macro photo of the red brick wall with flash on looks great, I'm happy with the quality I think of the macro mode. Your photos in pitch black room look fine, not too far away from the k850 xenon quality, but my problem is sometimes when I take photos of a crowd at night the foreground is clear but the background is black when I use the xenon flash.
I would like to take photos 4cm or 5cm away from the object (e.g. take a photo of a barcode or postage stamp) ... is this too close for the W995?

@NoroBiik: As spiid pointed out, youtube kills the quality, if you can, please upload the videos to 4shared or something, so we can download the actual videos and watch them on the pc.... Thanks!
@mode & spiid: Are some of those photos available on the photo section?

@kickling
4-5cm? You sure you're not talking about a DSLR? No compact digicam I know can do that, let alone a phone Maybe sometimes we expect too much from our phones
@Lightspeed_x
Yes I've uploaded one of those. I'll upload the others upon request

@mode ... haha, yeah I know, my expectations are a bit high! ... but the number of times I have liked to take super close macro shots and not been able to has just been annoying!
How many cm is the closest you can get with the W995 for getting a nice clear macro? |
