Has anybody had a chance to test the HBH-30 and the Bluespoon (external mic version)? I'm curious which one has better sound quality. From reading this thread, it seems like the Bluespoon is very well engineered, but I'm just curious how it would work in a noisy environment compared to the HBH-30 (with the mic closer to the mouth).

1st gen Bluespoon tested in crowded area, results posted by JH67 are a few pages back.
Next models will have technology which picks up the vibrations in your jaw converting them into speech reducing need for boom mic.
HBH-30 and HBH-20 sound quality very very good. Next gen models also good but nowhere near as small as bluespoon. Yet ...

I've had a reply back from Expansys - they say 'We are able to offer discounts to purchases over 5 units but they will have to be purchased together.'

Anyone got any ideas how we could go about this? Initially it might be easiest if groups got together regionally - for instance I could set up a London group - you pay me, I bulk buy and then distribute them.

I'll find out what discounts we can expect.

Unfortunately we're only looking at £5-10... hardly worth the hassle methinks...

Sort it out Adam, and please let me know.
Exansys order tracking says my unit is waiting to be dispatched .
But its still a 45 day wait ...

Adam, would it be worth chatting to Nextlink directly?
They have a link on their webpage ...

Edited coz Adam beat me with his £5 off post ...

I will try to ask if the "group-buy" could be done.
And e.g. prices, how many people and so on

I dont think Nextlink can do it any "cheaper" than if its done through Expansys.
Of course it would only be cheaper, if a lot of people made a "group-order". Thats how it works with most stuff

----------------

ORANG3 > The Bluespoon cannot be converted to left ear,..its built for right ear-use only.
It might change in the future

----------------

About the Bluespoon "sound-quality",...well, its very good, even when theres a lot of noise and a lot of other bluetooth devices surrounding it.
I've told earlier,..that we used it at the Amsterdam Bluetooth Congress, and it worked out very well indeed
Very clear/bright sound. People had no problems in hearing us. Worked very good both ways.

Its just been reviewed in the danish Mobile magazine,..together with Motorola and Jabra,..here the Bluespoon is clearly better in sound.
And much higher batterytimes too And of course its much smaller as well,..weights a lot less.

Jan

I'm so excited, I was originally going for the hbh-30 until reading this thread. Now I can't wait for my bluespoon that I just ordered.

This is scheduled to ship sometime this month right?

Same date for USA as Europe?

Come on Jan, tell us something about the release. You were at Nextlink yesterday, right?
Please dont say the release is going to be in August now.

if u find bluespoon not being that cheap, you can still get jabra's new headset for 99$ when it comes out. it's also small, just around the ear!! Better than HBH or motorolla's one.

Here's a large pic about it:
