Two changes/fixes I noticed, and that I regard very welcome:

1. Messaging app almost always (95 %) crashed when (manually) checking for new emails. (using Exchange/activesync)

2. When the keylock is on, pressing a key lits up the screen. Only after pressing another key, the keylock screen appears.

Nice, but had to figure it out first, since I sometimes just want to see the time

@BoThide
No offence intended, sounds like you do indeed have an odd problem, perhaps post this as new thread though as it is somewhat OT (sorry tesssst!!!).

Another suggestion though, have you tried the very latest version of the pc suite? There may be some driver updates within it as it sounds like SEUS simply isn't seeing your phone. This tends to scream DRIVERS at me. I belive there are specific drivers for flashing, so it may be the case even if the pcsuite is working for everything else.

I have been waiting to see all the reviews to upgrade to the new fw. But it seems there's no much big differences.

I've been satisfied with my current fw and really I don't have any problem that bothers me. Do you think I still should upgrade?

Maybe I should wait for the next fw version. What would you do?

pros
-camera much much faster
-green tint all but gone
-more stable
-messaging app faster

cons
-small bug on camera, switching mode doesn'2 change icon
-dark themes clash with opera making pages ugly and confusing
-cant exit java apps leaving them running in the background without a work-around
-status LED stops flashing if a key is pressed even when locked.

in the end i regret upgrading but only because i dont use the camera that much. if i did these small problems would be worth it. it is nice not having to get your friends to stand like statues all the time.

well if you ask me the msg app still too slow, not much improvement when comparing to previous fw.

i know this is uiq but everytime i look at my gf WM pro smartphone, I wish I hadn't have switched. the latest firmware even has my beloved "threaded SMS"

I'm new to this phone and updated. The significant problem I saw is the Opera thing, I love the dark theme I downloaded but Opera gets horrible...

My phone's biggest problem is the Media Player.
When I go in to songs and choose whatever title, it takes "hours" before the music starts, sometimes I even have to "jump" to a second title otherwise the player doesn't start at all.

Is this normal (for the P1i I mean..) ?

I have a 4 Gigs Sandisk M2 and had it formated by the P1i before using it. (It's half full with ~ 400 songs on it)

Thanks in advance for your remarks

how many times do you have to hear/read it that the keylock LED light "problem" was there before? at least with the prev 2 firmwares (I am with the old one and this is standard behavior )

you can exit java by clicking task manager - it could be a + or a - (stupid they didnt include another option in the menu though)

Agree with u totally Tessst.. actually i was going to point out the exact same things ..and also that using opera mini is soo much better so i wouldnt bother bout the built in 1
@shwicf : WM may have some nifty features but it has a really ugly interface IMO that u can get bored of really fast .. if u still want it wait till the x1 comes out and get that eh? best of all worlds

I love the new firmware. It only crashed once at the first day I upgraded.
I have no idea why it didn't happen again. It used to crash couple of times in a week. Mostly because of the camera and web software. It used to hardly run both together. With new FW phone has been on and stable since the first day FW came out public. I haven't closed any of the applications that I run since than.

Love it. I =) =) =)

dont be so "tessst"y but as an answer to your question probably until i see it with my own eyes

i'm starting to believe it know dont worry - as for the java apps i've just changed my shortcut button to standby - i'm more annoyed that the new behavior is not included as an option in the menu as you said.

@tesssst The Bluetooth device is an HBH-DS200. I know there were problems as mentioned in a previous thread when this headset got released. I also know you really need to wear the headset on the same side of the body for best performance. When I tested it with the new firmware the Headset and phone were very close.

I remember I tested it on the old firmware and it was impossible to watch anything using this headset, however it does seem to be better after this update, but there are still problems with smooth sound flow.

Ok I still have the old FW because you guys don't sound pretty convincing -

2 things nobody has mentioned so far though:

1. When you click the "main menu" you're directly redirected to the main page in the main menu - so for instance if I was in the control option or applications or notes etc. I see where I was and Hop I go to the main menu with the 9 options - this is when I open it through task manager
when you do that same thing through gDesk or swiss manager you're redirected to the exact same place you were before hand - a big Bug!

2. When there is something streaming in the music player (just discovered it) everything opens/closes far easier and faster - even the SMS etc.
If it was already opened its instant - don't know if its just me, but this is how the phone should be reacting all the time - fast

@tesssst Just tested your number 2. I can't say I notice any difference in speed when streaming music. Although I am using a old HBH-DS200

BTW its only about 6 months!
