lets save ESATO

I'm willing to donate a server with unlimited bandwidth.

Doesnt that solve a lot of our problems?

@jamojdm

I don't know... it should solve the problem... Its better, though, to discuss it directly with laffen. Hope to accept it!

@shithappens
Why not do like I did, I quit smoking all together last weekend, figured I saved about $ 40 by doing this, and donated half of it to Esato. What do you say guys, there's bound to be a lot of smokers here, do yourself and Esato a favour and quit today

@laffen

You mentioned "bandwidth expenses". jamojdm has offered you server space and bandwidth, that's a really good option. But since SE isn't giving any money, maybe they could give you server space and bandwidth in their servers (i'm sure they have plenty of those).
Just try out one of these solutions.
Wish you good, good, good, good, good, good, luck.

OMG!!! Only just saw the post, normally just jump straight into the ones I want. Look guys, I got mugged last month, I lost a tooth and need an implant, braces and root canals, this is all going to cost me more than £7000, and I'm only 19!!!! but still as soon as I saw this thread I donated what I could. If you CAN donate, then do it!! no excuse's!!!

This is what's happend so far:

5 new donations and the total is now $520. The highest donation is $50! But it’s not only the amount you donate that counts. It’s the number of donators that will make the big impact.

Please don’t send mail to Ericsson. Direct them to Sony Ericsson. I’ve got "complains" from Ericsson about all the support mail they have received from Esato members. If you send mail from sonyericsson.com, make sure that the request goes to SE and not Ericsson.

Latest feedback from SE e-marketing located in the UK is that they will not support Esato. At least not with hard cash.

I have received request from a SMS company wanting to buy the site. I’m not sure if this is the right way to do it. It would probably turn into a ringtone/logo site only.

Some mails are about hosting the site for free. One of the companies offering this is located in the UK and they seem to know what they are talking about. I’ll be happy to offer some add space for them in return of hosting. But I will have to check with the existing hosting company before I turn into this track. We have a one-year contract that’s ending in Mach. This means that some, but not all of the expenses we currently are facing still will be there.

Some of you wanting to donate will/can’t use PayPal. If any of you have any better solutions for transferring cash, please let me know.
