It's a Samsung E800, had one for a few weeks, nice little phone , but the data ribbon seems to be vulnerable, so be careful.

Hello, I have a question about how the k750i manages incoming sms, once I receive one, it asks if I want to read it now, if I press yes, once I've read it, it saves it in the saved messages folder without asking anything.
I don't like this, is there a way to save the incoming messages by default in the received messages folder instead of the other one ?
Beside this I'm really happy with my phone

Thanx

Welcome to Esato! I believe I've read a thread on this before, but I can't remember if there's a solution. I don't think there's an option to change the folder where the SMSes are stored though. If anyone knows, please help kiassan, thanks.

Hmm... But he mentioned that his read messages get automatically stored in the Saved Messages folder, so what could be the problem?

You're probably right about that, I was thinking perhaps he has a branded K750. Or do you know if such an occurrence could be due to a full inbox? I know that my simcard messages can be viewed from the Saved Messages folder, so there's a chance that messages stored in the Saved Messages folder are actually stored on the simcard.

Hello again, my k750 is not branded and my incoming sms folder is not full for sure.
Could be a bug of my firmware ?
I have R1CA021.

Hmm... There's a newer firmware available, so you might wanna go check it out. Try updating the firmware, if it still doesn't work, I think you'd best bring it to your nearest SE service centre and let them have a look at it.

So, 14th of October 2006 was a very memorable day in my life. It was the day I got my first Sony Ericsson phone, and I feel that I couldn't have chosen a better SE phone to start with. It's 28th of January 2007 today, so it's been slightly more than 3 months and I still feel as happy with my K750i as I did when I first got it, which is a longer time than I've ever been happy with any of my other mobile phones. Despite the launch of so many other models from various brands, I feel that the K750i remains as attractive as when it first came out. I've rarely been satisfied with any one phone for so long and the only other phone that I would rank so highly would be my Nokia 6510, which still works. Of course, all of these are purely my personal opinions. I just hope that all K750i users, and SE users in general, are happy with their choice of mobile phones.

I have had my K750 for two weeks and it's been going on very well. It's CID 49 but I'll get used to not being able to mod the software and stuff, wich I think is better in some way. Have had a bit of bugs but not frustating. My firmware isn't the latest, but something I really like is the possibility of searching by multiple characters in phone book and file manager (mine is a chineese version) and with a 2GB card it has plenty of storage. I have found so many uses for it, even more that those wich I bought it for! It's the best phone I've ever had and will ever have until many years from now

Yup, I feel the same way as you. My K750i is CID49 too, but like you've mentioned, it could be a good thing too. At least I won't be tempted to mess around with its system files and risk bricking it in the process. Indeed, the K750i has offered me so much more than what I bought it for. Hmm... You mentioned bugs, what kinda bugs does your K750 have? I definitely am glad that my K750i has multiple character search cos all my previous phones had it too. It's so much more convenient. One bug I've noticed on mine is that occasionally the backlight goes off and doesn't turn on again even if I press any button. It typically happens after a phone call. I have to restart the phone to make the backlight work again.

well, one of the bugs is that sometimes during MP3 playback, it stops playing and say's Playback Failed. I can then restar playback normally from the media player. But if I use the PLay/pause button (with handset connected) it crashes at the Playback Failed message...

Hmm... You did mention that you're not using the latest firmware, so if it really starts to annoy you, maybe you should consider a firmware upgrade. Mine occurs only once in a long while, so I doubt I'll be upgrading the firmware since there are no other major bugs.
