cheers matt.

In fact, I get 'cannot connect to server' that happens once then I get the constant 'initialising device' message everytime I try.

But- if I reboot, then the first attempt again I get 'connot connect to server' then after that the usual 'initialising device' each time.

Strange.

this is doing my head in now - SE GET A GRIP !

guys, i've said that before, don't be so rushy, reading the forums I get the feeling that the improvements of this firmware ain't that much, of course I want them, but i suggest you WAIT till SE fix all problems during the upgrade. That's what I will do!

Yep, can confirm huwl's post, I've just updated mine. Just reloaded R1L earlier in the day, now I've got R1N.

I've just tried sending a file to my phone and its fine. I would suggest perhaps re-pairing your phone with the device you are sending it from, but it still doesn't explain why irda isn't working.

Just noticed the bars but have run FloATs mobile agent and its reporting a much lower signal than the phone and I'm tempted to trust floAT for signla strength. Still so long as the call is clear and you don't lose signal then thats what's important.
