Unknown13x recently mentioned its not likely that the Mint will use the same S4 chip as the Hayabusa as they have a lot of time till release.
Well, a ray of hope 
Hope the Mint gets S4 PRO. |

this is not same sensor
Xperia Arc : 8MP with 1.4μm□ Unit cell size
Iphone 4S and SGS3 : 8MP with 1.12μm□ Unit cell size
second sensor is newer and better ...

phonearena said sensor has 1.4µm . so this is same Arc sensor and different from Iphone 4S sensor

Apple iPhone 4S and Sony Xperia S is equipped same type SONY sensor.
Sony Ericsson Xperia arc is equipped with previous version
and Samsung Galaxy S3 I have no idea why they choose SONY when they can develop on they own.

And for some reason all of them made better photos from our Xperia's.

I'd say their engineers and programmers were too lazy to work in order to bring out the best in these sensors, hardware wise Sony Sensors are the most advanced in the market, even Samsung's digital camera department is having hard time competing against them, Sony's NEX series are still unmatched in image quality for its class, and many Nikon DSLR sensors were fabricated at Sony factories.
also for people who thinks more pixels = less image quality, Sony seemed to have proven this wrong at least with NEX-7

looking at the comparison shots against Canon 60D at high ISOs, NEX-7 not just soundly beats the canon on resolution, but on overall detail at ISO 1600/3200 as well, take note Canon 60D and NEX-7 share the same APS-C sensor size, and Canon has the advantage in per-pixel dimension which leads us to believe that it is more sensitive to light. This is one of the instances where Sony proved themselves that they can outperform the established leaders despite being quite young(READ: inexperienced) in the market. also it is proof that Sony can really make great cameras should their developers did their assignments.

Not just with NEX 7 
The new Sony 36 MP sensor that is used in Nikon D800 (and soon in a Sony full frame Alpha) is getting higher scores than any other sensor before it. I am talking about the sensor quality, not the Nikon camera itself.
Next year onwards we should start seeing better camera performance from Sony phones when Sony electronics lets its cybershot team work with xperia team to improve the camera performance on its smartphones.

Honestly I'd prefer the alpha/NEX team rather than cybershot team (assuming they have different experts specializing at each department) cybershots cameras are typically worse in high ISO shots than competing Canon Elph/Ixus/powershots, or even Olympus, but i'm very much impressed that Sony really made extremely useful innovations with their cameras, first they brought the first APS-C CMOS sensor (the good days of DSC-R1), Back-Illuminated-Sensor (HX1), then there's 10fps burst, sweep panorama and handheld twilight(which is outstanding) which were adapted by other competing camera manufacturers in Japan/Korea.
@randomuser: even though I never knew D800's sensor is made by Sony, but by looking back at D3x's days, I could assume the same thing happened with the new Nikon flagship, great sensor + Nikon's unmatched image processing really made that DSLR a leader at least when considering price/performance since I know there exists the ultra expensive higher resolution full frame cameras that I don't really cared about

Sony will come out with a full frame alpha using the same sensor that will be much cheaper than D800 and offer a whole lot more features |

This is Haybusa international, eg.. GX International version which is already using the S4 ( non-Pro )...
The discussion is about the LT30i which is supposed to be codenamed as Mint, Unknown13 is predicting ( not confirming ) that it might use the Pro version... which we all hope to be correct even from days that we know that both will use the same SoC...

Unknown13x didn't exactly say that. He just shared his opinion that since Sony has time, as the launch is going to be later than it was originally planned, it doesn't make sense for them to go with the same chipset.
But knowing SE/Sony, we'll have to wait to see if its too good to be true.
For now, he has maintained that both will have the same processor. The hayabusa has a removable 1700mah battery while Mint will have non removable 1850mah battery with LTE and some sort of a metal back.
If the processor is the same, I'd rather go for Hayabusa. It comes in White No white Mint.

As we're talking about sensors and DSLRs, don't forget Nikon still make some kind of adjustments to the Sony sensors and that's why Nikon cameras using Sony sensors are always a bit better than Sony cameras using the same sensor.
Oh and here's a comparison between D7000 (16 MP) and NEX7 (24 MP) which shows the latter doesn't have the best APS-C sensor

Nikon typicaly sends their design for Sony to produce(as seen with D3x outperforming A900 despite Sony having built their sensors) since they can't produce their own sensors from scratch, of course NEX7 does not have the best APS-C sensor, but take note that despite sharing the same sensor format D7000 and NEX7 were never meant to be competitors, NEX7 is first and foremost a mirrorless camera with DSLR image quality never before seen in its class until Fujifilm X1 came. and D7000 is your typical high quality Nikon DSLR camera equipped with outstanding imaging capabilities (read: Nikon image processing algorithm) that Nikon developed over the years. while it's true that D7000's sensor puts NEX7's to shame, in its class though, where the only viable competition were Fujifilm X1 and Samsung NX200, NEX-7 is still best as far as reviews go.
