What's the matter Sakis? You got frustrated because poor X10 is overrun by so many devices before it even got out? You work for SE? Getting out of job? Feel sorry for you man.

The X10 is history man the supersonic specs are much better OLED display means better battery life and we all know android suffers from battery drain
It also means 16 million colours as opposed to X10's pathetic 65000. And it means multi-touch and all other benefits that Android 2.1 brings out of the box. The only thing where X10 is better is the camera but you are not buying this thing for camera anyway. If you want a good camera you get Satio or Vivaz.

there will always be another phone around the corner with better specs
Yeah but X10 is also around the corner. Long way.

Wow. This make things even more interesting. Let's see which among these Android phones will win the customers' hearts.
Great! More choice the better! Without custom layers on top then each Android phone is as good as the next. Timescape on the youtube vids does look amazing.
Last demo I saw it looked Fking slow not amazing to me.
Lets see it run with two or three hundred contacts before we get too carried away perhaps?

Hi all!
The specs say that it supports up to 16GB memcard but so says the specs for X1 and X2
but i have read about many people that are using 32GB, have anyone tried that on theire phone
and if so is it much more laggy then? I guess you can use 32GB on the X10 but it might get a bit slow
and therefor SE says that it supports up to 16GB...
I am really looking forward to the release of X10 and i'm almost positive that i'm going to buy it, it's just
a real pain in the *** that appstore is so much larger and have nicer apps than android market.
But i don't want an Iphone and become a slave under the apple, can't someone just make a nice emulator for iPhone apps |

if you want iphone app's, buy an iphone. that is really the only reason to own the current iphone(s)..otherwise, i'm sure android will build a nice app stord at some point. |

@Salveta: Companies state a handset can support memory cards up to the biggest available in the market, in X10 case it's 16Gb MicroSD, but I'm sure it can handle 32Gb just as fine when they'll be available

To continue the previous one.
This is the extended version of compare browser between X10 and Nexus
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yeT0ykVwac
My opinion, It seems that both of the device have "Equality" speed with plus and minus.
In the video, it seems x10 a little bit late. But the point of view x10 is much more convinient than the Nexus one.
Meanwhile, x10 a little bit faster when opened the youtube. I am very please about this. |

@saka
sorry, but 'so many devices'? What are you smoking? The only snapdragon android phone out at the moment is the nexus one. And the underclocked Acer liquid.
Dont talk nonsense!
Honestly the way people are acting round here, get a grip. Its a phone. Surely you all have more important things to argue over. I can understand civil discussions/comparisons. But come on, some go a little over the top...

Who said is has to have snapdragon (or android for that matter) to have advantage over X10? That post was about HTC Supersonic (no, it's not out yet but neither is X10). |

well you said 'overrun' so that means the phones would sorta have to be similar or better spec'd.
and if it was about the HTC Supersonic, well then, there was no need to mention anything about any phones coming out before the x10, because it hasnt even been announced yet.
not 'arguing', just pointing out some very minor flaws in your posts

I guess if you can't give us the link to this recent demo, showing it working slow we'll just have to take your sacred word for it?
There are plenty of demos around showing it working lightning fast, but I guess if all you're intent on doing is being miserable and moaning like a bitch about things then your not going to notice them, right?

It "sorta" doesn't mean that either. For example iPhone has worse spec than many phones but it beats their asses. And it definitely doesn't mean "must have snapdragon or android". So don't "assume" things that haven't been said.

Some prefer to announce months before release and some announce days before release. Neither of them are on the market right now and that's all that matters. It is fully legit to mention it and compare, even if it comes out few months after X10. |

All the mindless drones here who go "NEED MOAR 2.1" must have got a rude awakening when they watched the browser test video.
I mean, every test out there shows that the Nexus One is faster than the Droid and almost all of them show it's faster than the iPhone and here's our X10, called "History" by some scholars here, kicking it's rounded little ass.
Who'dathunkit???
It's a little bit eerie how what you've just palmed off as fact is exactly what those browser speed tests don't say - http://www.redmondpie.com/nex[....]in-browser-speed-test-9140313/
If you don't feel like following the link, it's a speed test on video showing that the Nexus One's browser is slower than both the iPhone and the Droid, for whatever software reasons. So is it amazing that the X10 is also faster in a couple of videos? Not so much.

lol leave it to beaver to drop in every time his little baby is mentioned.
Anyway, go back and read again. This time, S-L-O-W-L-Y. Did I say EVERY test? No I did not. So you found ONE link that shows the Nexus One is slower. Big whoop. Give yourself a pat in the back and some milk and cookies, if you may.
Not related to this, but considering the fact that your baby can neither recognize nor display Flash or Java components, it's inevitable that it'll come up on top for some sites. Like, I'm pretty sure the iPhone would load dailymotion or vimeo faster than anything else out there
But you see, some of us LIKE the ENTIRE web in "The palm of our hands". For real. Not as a marketing line. And for THAT, the X10 schooled the Nexus One (Which you and several others claimed would relegate the former to the history books).
End of story. |
