assume you have several version of camdriver
e.g. 2.41 hybrid , 5.6c , 5.6u
first u have to rename your camdriver file (in your pc)
for ver 2.41 hybrid u can rename it to camdriver0-241.dat
ver 5.6c rename it to camdriver0-56c.dat
ver 5.6u rename it to camdriver0-56u.dat
(u can rename it to any name u can remind it easily)
and send them to folder MSSEMCMedia FilesOTHERdrv in your memorystick
when u want to change camdriver, you go to folder otherdrv in your phone's file manager
u'll see your camdriver0.dat in your phone memory and other camdriver files

then More -> Manage Files -> Copy to Phone
then delete file camdriver0.dat in phone memory
and rename new camdriver file (in this case camdriver0-241.dat) u just copy to phone memory to camdriver0.dat
and now your driver change

why not u just copy the driver to phone memory...... 
by doing that u only rename the driver...... 
that is what i do now.... hehehe

heheh,i love 5.6c and 5.6 u ,also good cam drivers ...but from yesterday i stoped to 2.41 ....after long test ,home to see the difference ...for my w800i the 2.41 driver it's showto me more clear ,sharp pictures with nice and true colors and more good focus and sharp on on the distance shots.with 5.6 c and u allways i got jost a problem ,where it was much light outside ,for example and i made a pic with a building...the building was more white ,like the sky ,didn't was a clear line between sky and building...too much light was ...but this is not with 2.41 ,also like in this pictures....i see difference for example to the tree! |

there's two Camdrivers that i personaly think that have the quality in it.. it's between 2.41 & 5.6C camdriver.. i would most prefer to use 2.41 by now

there's two Camdrivers that i personaly think that have the quality in it.. it's between 2.41 & 5.6C camdriver.. i would most prefer to use 2.41 by now

Is it the 2.41 driver that aksd modified a couple of days ago? Sorry I lost track again. Mind if somebody can give me the link to download? I think I got 2.41 but I don't know whether this is the one you guys are talking about. |

YAp.. the one released a few days ago. Already tested hard by me.

the 2.42 will be discontinue since it has a little problem with the focus part.. aksd will re-edit that back i guess

whats the latest SEFP plugin version? is it 1044? or is there 1055 existing?
a step by step guide please... coz i think i should do GDFS backup before installing and applying the patch. GDFS exists only with SEFP versions 10 right?

Instructions (and for all):
(i) Backup your GDFS first. Instruction here: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=4618

(ii) Use a file manager (e.g. I am using MyPhoneExplorer) and create a directory "drv" under /Phone Memory/Other. Copy your camdriver0.dat and dispdriver0.dat to the folder (i.e. /Phone Memory/Other/drv). Both drivers are in /ifs/settings/camera and /ifs/settings/display.
(iii) Now for patching. Open FAR --> Alt - F1 --> SEFP --> Enter the Matrix --> press c while connecting to phone --> FLASH --> look for and choose the .vkp (patch) file (on the right side) --> COPY --> Process VKP Script & Flash --> Some warning sign (if your sefp is 0.10.0.44 or older) --> YES --> QUIT
Disconnect the cable and start your phone. Now, the phone is running on the drivers in /Phone Memory/Other/drv/
And for all, as long as you are not tampering with EROM and GDFS, a patch can be removed very easily going through a similar step in (iii) (there's an option to "remove the patch"). I suggest you all update SEFP to the latest 0.10.0.50 version because a warning message will be correctly prompted when you are about to tamper with EROM or GDFS (previous versions give warning message whatever you are doing. This scares you away but also makes you insensitive to the message).
The latest sefp can be downloaded from here:

Copy the sefp.dll to c:/Program Files/FAR/Plugins/SEFP
Move the old sefp.dll to somewhere else (in case the new one doesn't work, you can use back the old one).
