T-Mobile and Orange are the slowest of all the networks to auth the software to be updated.
Im sorry to sy that you could both be waiting another month and then again the networks don't even have to approve the firmware any way.
It will also be no good ringing the networks because they havnt got a clue what you will be talking about and then blame SE like they always do.
The only thing i can say is either debrand the phone or just keep trying to update.
I know this is not what you want to hear but its the only answer currenlty there is.
I Luv the Orange network, but hate there branding this is why i would rather pay for a sim free model

I know that de-branding isn't done in Service Centers..
I've reflected to this quoted post and previous ones about that R1ED001 isn't available on SEUS for T-Mobile and other branded phones..

As far as I am aware there are no longer any service centres in the UK - at least that was what my local Service Centre (which was in Coventry) told me when it stopped providing shop-level support for firmware updates.
I would be interested to hear if this is indeed the case. The Coventry branch shut down roughly when I got my K700 - i.e. 2.5 years ago. |

Apologies for asking this here, but I couldn't find the best place for information. My handset's earpiece speaker has suddenly stopped working. Handsfree is still fine, and the external speaker seems fine. This happened before I upgraded, and is still not working on R1ED. I know some others have experienced this, but has anyone found a solution?
I also saw a red LED flash in the infrared briefly yesterday, in amongst all my testing to try to get things to work again. Did I read somewhere that this can indicate the EROM problem? I have seen no other symptoms of this (no WSOD etc).
Can anyone give me any advice?

Can anyone help?

Yes, this was probably not the best place. Try the general section next time, or perhaps the technical section.
About the handsfree, the problem can simply be that it's broken. Check that the cable is intact, for example. I hardly think it's firmware related anyway. Have you tried it with another phone? Have you tried another handsfree on your phone?
About the red LED, I haven't noticed that on my K800i yet, but on many other models, there is a red LED in the IR port that starts glowing/blinking on low battery level, my K700i did that, for example. Earlier Ericsson models had a green LED that was blinking when the network was available, and it turned red on low battery level. |

Thanks for the reply. I posted it here because I had a suspicion it might be relating to the EROM issue, as I had seen mention of the red LED in conjunction with that problem. Anyway, thanks for the info about the LED probably indicating low battery, which probably rules it out as an EROM bug. Warranty repair, methinks. |

Has anyone with a UK Vodafone branded k800 successfully upgraded to R1ED001? |

Yup, done it via Wotanserver when it first became available. Also update the EROM as well on my Vodafone branded K800i.

does anyone have any picture corruption when transferring pictures from the phone to the PC. Like when I view the picture in my phone it looks fine but when I transfer the picture it becomes misplaced, sort of like a jigsaw puzzle. This only happens with some pictures but it's still annoying nonetheless. |
