Anyone else notice that Idou has a Micro SD slot? ie: No M2 slot...

Indeed !
M2 would be a killer to this as this gives the potential of former Nokia S60 users to upgrade to this device that already have MicroSD!

Thats a really nice phone. I would like to see a model containing the regular 8MP camera and ditch that huge shutter mechanism on the back. It would be extra-sleek then.

@oli yes and that leads to the believing of gsmarena thinking that someone other than SE has build the phone - they forgot k850 supporting micro sd before. perhaps the reason why SE did not support m2 is because of s60 based OS

my only very minor complaint about the idou is that the camera lens cover sticks out from the body so much. i would have liked to see the lens cover incorporated into the body of the cam and a larger piece sliding when taking photos.

As it is now, i feel like there is a good potential of the lens cover sliding open when being placed into a pocket. maybe there's a way to lock it? who knows..

other than that, i think it is a SEXY ASS phone.. and i can't wait to get it.

@ razec.. i hope you're right about a "no so expensive price"...

I really like idouīs design. It looks very sleek and powerful. The UI seems elegant too but itīs too slow. It took almost a minute on the video for the dude to begin playing a song. The menu is not responsive and the screen takes too long to redraw itself. I know itīs just an alpha version but they really need to improve that. If they make it snappy, easy to use, affordable and get developers to make apps for this thing fast, this thing might get out of the hole. Iīm really excited about this phone. I havenīt felt like that with a phone since k750.

i hope that there is still support for M2 in the final design b/c it'd be a waste if i couldn't use my current 16gb m2 and have to get a new microSD one ..

i'm curious what other devices SE has up their sleeve for the rest of MWC..

@ oli...

yes i know.. i'm thinking less than X1 ... but i am starting to save right now

I DO U
A sleak stunner indeed!

It will be quite a bit overpriced, I'm afraid, as usual.
Like Mizzle, I somewhat miss the keyboard. Well, a combination of Idou (also to be Xperia-branded, I presume) and X1 would be ideal, one for multimedia, the other for the keyboard and WinMo. Then again, for the price of these two, a decent VAIO desktop replacement might be a better idea

Cheers!

From the Entertainment Unlimited press release:

"The company is also showing a mobile phone under the concept name Idou* giving a glimpse of one of a number of projects that will be launched this year under the umbrella of Entertainment Unlimited. "

Read into 'number of projects' what you will but to me it almost sounds like a new range, although I suspect most would be happy with Idou right now.

Another thing I found curious was the naming of Hikaru - W995.

Now considering the designation key on the 1st post, this will be the highest Walkman music phone in the range, or else why wasn't it named W915 or something different?

Does this mean that all further high-end Walkmans come under the new Entertainment Unlimited brand?

That designation key has been taken down. It needs updating.
