What have you done to try to fix it? e.g. reflash with SEUS, using DaVinci etc? I would be suprised if you cant recover the phone if it is a software (and not a hardware) issue!

I haven't used davinci,
I tried seus auto / recovery mode master reset more than 10 times everytime it gives me the error connection,
and even if I do get the camera working people are still haveing issues with file transfer ...etc, and seeing how sony takes a few months to release a new firmware I guess it's gonna be some time before they fix it 
anybody out there have the seus files for the R1L Chinese version ?
I would dance at your wedding if you upload them for me
p.s. phone is unbranded and I have never used davinci or other 3'rd party stuff.

I've got a APAC Chinese K750i, and I save all the SEUS files just in case...
I think you want:
HL1_125954-CHINA-MR1-5_000000_0000_R1L002 (11Mb)
and
HL1_125953-APAC1-MR1-5_000000_0000_R1L002 (1Mb)
I'm off to work soon so I can't upload them today, but if you setup some server space somewhere & PM me, I'll upload them tomorrow (Fri 23rd). Ok?

sir, i am from the philippines...i have upgraded my k750i to R1N035...i also did a master reset twice... once before and once after the upgrade...i lost games like puzzle slider and aero glider...the demo tour was also erased...my friend sent me a copy of the video of demo tour...i saved it in the phone's memory but it does not play when using the shortcut under the entertainment menu...can i still restore it?...also, my friend whose unit has EU_CL in the software info, upgraded his phone to R1N035....he had an error during the process and suddenly the unit was dead...we can not turn it on anymore...we brought it to sony ericsson philippines and they can not do anything about it because the board according to them was already corrupted...we brought it to another authorized service center and they said that a software upgrade may restore the phone...the said software is not available at this time they said....can you probably recommend something for us to restore his unit?...i updated mine using the same process and didn't encounter any errors...a day after that, we updated his...i felt so responsible for what happened... |

I would say unless R1L does not work for you or you really want R1N benefit on your K750i or you can back up your existing firmware from your phone, I would suggest people to wait and see. It is indeed bad that SE does not fix any firmware issue reported ASAP, but always wait for a few months before releasing a new firmware with thorough testing. |

I have an Orange contract K750I in the U.K. & I just upgraded it to the latest R1N035 firmware.
Problems noticed so far:
The software freezes for a couple of seconds if you are too quick moving the joystick through any of the options.
While transferring photos from the phones memory to my pc via the USB cable the phones screen has large columns of strange blue tinted bars appearing at random across the whole screen.
Looks like more bugs for Sony Ericsson to work out for the next firmware update then. |

thanks cheesecake if you can just upload them to rapidshare or something or send them to my email, I'm not sure if they are the right ones though, my phone is a k750c , these are the files for R1N

but since the prefix 'HL1_125953' is the same I guess they'll work

I had a T630 and I'm sorry to tell you that the K750 is way better!
I've been an ericsson fans since they launched the GH377 and I've ever since had ericsson phones (388, and the sony ericsson's and I can tell you that the K750 is one of the best products I've seen! |

Hi guys, I haven't been around for a while. It's nice to see that a new firmware is finally available, and the fixes are (potentially) good. I've just updated my unbranded K750i (CDA 102338/38 R6A) without a problem. Now I've got a lot of catching up to do of this thread.

I seem to be getting away with everything for a change! Since R1N i've only experieced 1 crash and that was when someone tried to call me while i was watching a film... i can let the phone off for that. But everything else works fine! no file transfer issues, my hbh-600 works faultlessly, the camera is better than ever... it looks like there are big differences between certain k750's and im fortunate enough to be one of the few lucky ones it would seem sorry to rub it in! I still love this phone and always knew it had great potential. SE need to work on their customer service though!

your lucky alright... I got my personal 3rd k750i yesterday....
It seems 3rd time lucky also... hasnt crashed yet... knock on wood...
Still has pretty much a few issues with it but I guess it is all to do with O2 being a bit skiddish about what to give customers...
Wilst I still think and agree with you about the great potential the K750i has under the bonnet, I cant help feeling all it could be is the W800i, since wilst possible I not gonna go down that road, I have to wait until both SE and O2 get theire act together....
I hate corporate bullsh1t and theire internal politics...

Is the video that your friend gave you listed as being on the memory stick or being on the phone in the Videos folder? I would expect it to work if it is placed in the phone's memory but not on the memory stick, however I have never tried deleting / moving this item myself. See my PM for more information.

Have you tried using the Recovery mode of SEUS to get your friend's phone back up and running. That is specifically there to restore non-operational phones after a bad flash.
If this doesn't work then you could always try a service like DaVinci. There are many threads on DaVinci in Esato which may help you if you decide to go this route. It goes without saying that you should try SEUS Recovery first though! See the first page of this thread for links. |
