They do indeed. Just saw a new QWERTY Android one on Engadget the other day. It actually looked ok. But I think they are predominantly aiming at the Amercan market now.

I think they're concentrating on the smartphone market, something they've been working on for years with nowhere near the success of Apple and RIM.

Yeah that seems more than likely. The Motorola section of the Vodafone website is a sad webpage indeed.

Yep I agree. They really needed to move the new RAZR on a bit, but they didn't really.

Actually the V9 is beautifully built in metal and glass, and I been very tempted by it several times, but then I remember my previous experiences with Moto UI and back on the shelf it goes... $699 is a more realistic price for it, the $899 is used to be is way too much considering it's only 2.0Mp. You can get very expensive bling versions of the V9 overseas.
The V9 is the V3 successor Moto should have made ages ago but the world has moved on now...
Samsung's Vodafone page is looking a bit bare too, 3 phones.

Oh yeah I know the V9 is built well and out of some premium materials, but it really is lagging abit in the specs department. I wonder if they sell many.
Really seriously considering a W995 now personally. I'll have to start shopping round for the cheapest price cause it shouldn't take me much more than a month to save for one. Any suggestions? I see Parallel Imported aren't doing much in the way of SE phones anymore, and their prices aren't that hot either.

How long are you wanting to keep the W995 for?
Can you wait for the Aino or Satio? I honestly think that the W995 (while a very good phone) is the new G900 - the last of an era - the phone which is heading into a dead end street. I don't think SE will make any more high end phones which are non-touchscreen, going forward.
And did you hear that Satio is going to be able to run Playstation games?
I think we just found your new phone!
Umm... everybodys new phone!
If you can afford both W995 and Satio then by all means...

Yeah I've been having second thoughts a bit after reading the W995 thread. I think it was just seeing the W995 that made me really want it, so I'll attempt to forget about it. I love Aino's looks and specs but don't want a limited touchscreen if I am going to buy a touchscreen phone. I really like Satio but I want a slide out keypad. I'm not that keen on typing out texts on a touchscreen to be honest. Especially if it's a resistive screen. Hopefully they bring out a capacitive screen phone soon.
Maybe I'll wait for Sony Ericsson's next few announcements (one due before the end of this month, and an apparently important one in September) and see what comes up. A Satio with a keypad would be perfect for me.
EDIT: And if you're referring to Satio's remote play abilities, then there are very few games that support that (and I don't think any good ones). It will still be nice to browse my PS3's music, etc with the phone though.

Ok I just saw the thread about the Satio playing PlayStation games. Sounds cool. Satio is a definite maybe for me.

Lol, 3 posts in a row. My bad.
The few guys that I told the texting and calling trick to about a month back, is it working for you guys now? It seems Vodafone may have put a stop to it...

It worked yesterday when I did it (yay). I wouldn't be suprised if they fixed it, quite a few people knew of an old number to text, 7, but they stopped that.

Hmmm... perhaps you should sign up to an Optus Australia iPhone plan.
I've been having trouble logging in. Anyone else?
