@brix: What happened? Did people take it up? We have quite a number of CDMA networks here, most of them having operated for 10 years, but a little short-sighted in outlook.
It took the arrival of GSM technology to shock them into action Now, some of them are crying wolf.

@ALL, I just got myself a P910i today.
ATM, I'm trying to upgrade the firmware online via SEUS....
I've been so busy fiddling around with this gadget, it's a masterpiece...

@AYA: Don't think CDMA, if it takes off, will be marketed to compete with GSM...they're trying to get fixed line operators on board to complete the last mile in the connection loop, especially with broadband services.

This is my first post from my 9500. Its a great piece of work!
I almostt didn't sleep all night configuring it
@brix: Good approach by your people. It seems like the same thinking here, only the CDMA guys have been around much longer than GSM.
@mamba: Congrats on your P910! Looks like its phone season Who's next? _________________ For useful info about mobile data technology & trends in Nigeria, visit http://gosmartmobile.com on your PC, smartphone, PDA or WAP2.0/XHTML phone!

@brym: Thanks for mentioning me to your friend, but I got a deal i could not refuse Thanks again.
@mamba: The review will come soon. Very soon!
The major issue I am facing now is, Glo GPRS has been dead on the cell site covering my residence for over a week now - and honestly it does not look like the grren guys are in a hurry to sort it out. I have called so many times, the customer care people must know my name and number by heart now.

That makes two of us Sigh
Seun and I still chatted this evening. It seems pretty much that his mind is made up, so I am not sure what our opinion here will accomplish.To me, it is a little sad and disappointing, but we had a life b4 MN. Life goes on

@Cool, i think seuns reason to lock up mobile nigeria is understandable since he says its not viewable thru wap, i browsed the nairaland on wap thru http://nairaland.com/?wap2 and was able to login, read and repy post to the new mobile nigeria which is a sub-forum, there. Though not as rich as the old mobile nigeria we all know, but its picking up. The guy has great plans for that forum, though he is going to need a lot of help and hardwork to achieve it.
@AYA, if i upgrade my phone, do i need to make another request to glo for mms and wap, or i just configure the new phone and start browsing since my simm is already provisioned?
@ALL, you guys should help me say a big 'Thank You' to brym for the glo recharge card (this means more browsing on wap) he sent to me, am grateful brym, (you know i was only pulling your legs, but thanks anyway). |

@oto: www.mobilenigeria.com is a mobile phone forum.
@angel: No; just put the settings in your new phone and there you go. About mobile nigeria; those were not the reasons seun gave me. If its an issue of accessibility via WAP, I know that he is more than competent enough to effect that.

@Brym thanks on behalf of Angel. Nairaland is very good. Angel, all u need is input the settings into ur new phone & ur browsing straight away, so far ur line is activated.
