@wapt we call them here "folia-led", think its comes from alufolia, cos its a kind of sheet on the screen.

Experienced the speed under good radio enviroment could be compared to a 33.6kbs ananlog modem, when no other mobiles shared the same resoures at the time.

sorry wappers but the thread got so many replies, i just had to quote boba..

@boba, i acutally used it before i handed it to him. love at first sight was the thing with my dad and that icecap t39. of course i asked some money for me to get a t68 (dad didnt like the t68 because of the joystick). my mom now owns that t39...

here are brief steps to connect a /// to linux using irda, if you need more info pm me. you need to #modprobe ircomm-tty ircomm sir-dev, then #irattach /dev/ttyS1 -s and that's it! enable irda in the /// and use your favourite sync program (kandy, multisync etc.) you can also connect to internet using gprs, T39/T68/T610/R520 are known to work, using bt is another story.
