Of course I'd go for that as well, I'm not against having the best specs on a device I'm using but there were other more important features to put more attention, and since there's basically no current android HD game that can cripple even a tegra 2's performance, why do some people still bash over something they barely understand?
Maybe not so much problems once you're into an app, but even the HTC One X has gotten a fair amount of criticism about its multitasking switching and quite a few Tegra 2 tablets are seen as laggy when you flip between home screens if you have a few widgets going.
I don't think it's the fault of the chipset, but rather due to the lazy coding principle by the developers employed in their company. If IOS could run and multitask so well on an "outdated" dual core processor, then why can't android?
have you seen this youtube video of GS2 pitted against Xperia Arc?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4nnkRm2LRo&feature=related
If you look closely you'll notice that Arc can even beat GS2 at response rate when that man simultaneously tapped the "run full benchmark" option.

Acro S and Go are developed phones I assume?
When are we going to see the first proper Sony phone? And do we know which one it will be?

I really don't get SONY's strategy anymore...
Acro S is roughly the same as the Japanese Acro HD and has the same hardware as Xperia S and
Both Xperia S and Acro HD were announced ~6 months ago.
Why is SONY so late with the international version of Acro HD?
And Xperia Go's resolution is really disappointing. It better be cheap! |

I also presume launching the Xperia Ion will be useless after the announcement of this modified Xperia Acro HD. It reallly baffles me as to why there should be three phones from Sony with almost the same spec!(Xperia S, Xperia Ion, and Xperia Acro S) I understand that others would want a waterproof Xperia S but the Xperia ion is just too much.

I believe Sony is just putting those prototype SE phones into release to clear their "inventory". I don't find that bad though, as all models are good, besides why care for something we won't buy?

Well, it confuses costumers and the designs are wasted. Also, adding other features (E.g. xenon flash, plasma flash, floating touch technology, or the Whitemagic display) on one of those phones wouldn't hurt.

as much as I personally wanted a xenon flash, it won't happen anymore at least Sony could make an MXE-60 successor compatible with all Android Xperias from 2011 onwards but i doubt that will happen. Imagine with that it can seal Sony's lead in mobile imaging at least among android phones, and it'll be perfect for instagram

Looking from the trend, you are absolutely right. Nokia is the only manufacturer left developing phones with Xenon. |

Probably not to India too. It can't be seen in the leaked roadmap from India.

Well, looking at the latest sony releases, one quote comes to my mind:
The company still makes a confusing catalog of gadgets that overlap or even cannibalize one another. It has also continued to let its product lines mushroom: 10 different consumer-level camcorders and almost 30 different TVs, for instance, crowd and confuse consumers.
“Sony makes too many models, and for none of them can they say, ‘This contains our best, most cutting-edge technology,’ ” Mr. Sakito said. “Apple, on the other hand, makes one amazing phone in just two colors and says, ‘This is the best.’ ”

The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |
