It's not just the clock. It's more that you need to "light up" the phone to be able to see if there is a missed call or message. |

@SE-Naz Nice one about the clock. I'm also missing the easy link to phone status on my old k800 - is that still there somewhere?
Thanks MnM |

OMG...2 pages of arguments just based on a comment that the sleep mode clock function is gone?
alright alright, there are those of us who moaned about it being unavailable (but can accept a glass over the camera lens) and there are those of us who groan about a glass over the camera lens (but are perfectly fine without a sleep mode clock)...and there are those of us who lament over how much of a fingerprint magnet it is, but have no complaints about the D-ring etc etc the list goes on...whatever it is, we accept them as the flaws of a nicely designed phone (if it didn't attract ur attention, u wouldn't be following this thread anyway)...small inconveniences to ppl with different needs that we gripe about.
can we now move on the the other issues like firmware bugs?

yeah really come on... people are complaining about the damn clock! well you better sell your phone now...........
any way, you would only be able to see the standby clock during the day if the k850 had it, at night you would need to press the volume button to see it, whats the big deal in doing this all day? i always press the volume button any way to see the clock as it makes it easier to see even during the day!

I have to say that after using the phone for 24 hours, I have at least a few firmware problems to report. I'm not sure if these are just on the O2 firmware.
1. The volume keys do not work in phone calls or while listening to music or video.
2. Video playback is slightly jerky.
3. The auto-rotate feature sometimes takes much longer than other times.
4. Sometimes when the phone auto-locks, the backlight stays on permanently. The only way to solve this is to take the phone out of lock, and relock it manually.
5. The menu motion is sometimes very slow and jerky.
The only other slightly annoying thing I've found besides the firmware bugs is the slightly creaky battery cover. To be fair though, the battery cover is much better quality than most other phones I've come across.

@ryan
number 2. video MAY be jerky as the setting for auto rotation is on, try put it on landscape or what ever and see how it is....
and number 5, the batter cover. Do you mean the whole back cover? or just the bottom battery door?
