Hi People!
any ideas how to remove BB App World icon from the top of my screen?
I have updated all of the 7 apps and have restarted the Bold.
I also did a battery pull but still the icon is there.
I am not sure whether to delete the BB App World application, and reboot, then re-install.
Any advice much appreciated!
EDIT... deleted app and now rogue icon has gone...
now to find it on the net and re-install !

Hi Guys,
If I get a E-Series Nokia, such as the E63,E71 or E66, will I be able to recieve my emails the same way as I do on my BB 8120?
I will be using Orange.
Do I need to pay anything extra other then the BB Bolt on?
All help appriciated.
Thanks.

I'll answer this. I own the E71 and although I've only tried 2 email solutions - Nokia Messaging and LonelyCatGames ProfiMail - Push email for Pop/IMAP4 works very well.
However I MUST caution you!!
Benefits: Use any data plan or WiFi without a specific data plan by carrier allowing WLAN sync.
(some of us in certain country's don't get email pushed without a data plan with specific carrier based service books pushed & operating on your BB device).
multiple choice of email push solutions as well as Lotus Notes & MS Exchange MAPI push solutions (some free) many NOT.
Limitations:
- HTML email layout is VERY poor on Nokia Messaging free solution. Not much better but faster to scroll through on ProfiMail.
- sub-folder sync on Exchange will cost you around $25-40US on S60 3rd Edition FP1 (E71).
My best suggestion is to wait another 2-3mths when the Nokia E72 debuts.
Benefits:
* HSPA 10Mbps Down/2Mbps UP (vs E71 - 3.5Mbps down/384UP) pure modem for your laptop.
* Optical Sensor like BB 8520 along with the DPad integrated.
* S60 3.2 will have another year of life for application development and support while FP1 is very quickly fading if not dead already.
* better camera quality in pics as seen on leaked prototype comparisons. Yes the E71 has a 3.2MP cam but its PISS POOR except for daytime bright sunlight winter shots. Check my Ovi channel under Jagga.
* Much faster & newer ARM 11 cpu running at 600Mhz (vs 384 on E71).
Limitations:
- same old 320x340pixel display. If your older than 27 and your no longer 20/20 vision this will SEVERLY hurt your eyes after a few months.
- WebKit browser is VASTLY improved for speed and navigation. But you'll LOOSE the abilty to save a bookmark highlighted, or the ability to save a bookmark & create a new folder while saving a new bookmark; something that annoys me since I used to have my 8100 3yrs back.
BTW, this E72 should have been shipping and shown off at Nokia World 2009 on September 2nd & 3rd but for some reason it was ignored for the N900, X6, X3, and N97 Mini.
Read more on E71 for now. If your in Europe you should NOT pay more than 150Euros retail for a BNIB unit.

I'll answer this. Without all the BS.
Unfortunately Nokia have ceased supporting BlackBerry Connect on their devices (AFAIK) so the BB bolt on will be of no use to you.
Dogmann uses Seven.com and swears by them, though you will need to change to UL data with Orange and pay a subscription to Seven.com.
Other than that Nokia apparently do their own push email, hence why they stopped supporting BB connect. You could give that a go.

To use Nokia's push email, do I still need the unlimited data plan? Also does anyone have any experience of using this? How good is it compared to BlackBerrys service? |

well you got two statements above showing comparability.
Initially Nokia Messaging (push email) will send you an SMS from the site (http://email.nokia.com/account/home.action) to your mobile. It'll ask for a password and email address (the initial email address you've registered on site just above here). Once setup it'll be the primary email client on your mobile. Preferably it'll want a provider APN, but you CAN tell it to use WiFi only if you wish - its in the settings.
Seven's solution I think is still free; I've never used it though.
My Previous statements where not BS. I gave the information to help the user make a better decision should he/she choose to go with S60 on a business device from Nokia; E72 combines the same features the E75 has along with IM Chat & presence. Email will be updated on that before E71 and like devices get a software update.
Don't ever assume that a BB Email service is the same on every continent or country or provider. There ARE specifics that are changed. For the most part you'll be dissatisfied with push email on any other device than a BlackBerry. Email is a BlackBerry's bread and butter - its what made the devices for corporate solutions and now consumer solutions a staple.

Anyone know anything about the BlackBerry Bold 9700? It seems to be a mix between the 8900 and 9000, looks good, similar size to the 8900 but with 3g and better camera. |

There is nothing like Blackberry.
No Nokia or WinMo enterprise phones can beat the easy of use and the push email technology that Blackberry Offer us.
Plus in my country, an Unlimited Data service is expensive, compared to Blackberry Internet Service.
