Guys, quick question: does the Z retail unit have this Slow Talk feature as well? The ZL does, and it is - let's say - funny to use

So is everybody content and happy with the phone? I'm very happy with no lag and amazing battery life on stamina mode. Beautiful browser and beautiful UXP.

Only German from what I know, maybe a few other European countries. All other countries seem to be getting Sharp panel mainly.
So the chances that the other two DACH countries, Austria and Switzerland, could be affected more significantly as well, are very good?

With amoled black is really black. It surprised me the camera could capture some light from the display of the S3. That shows how exaggerated the picture is and doesn't show the true black level of the xperia z. |

It does seem suspicious for an AMOLED to dissipate light when it's tasked to display black, when it should only turn off. But there's a note on top of the S3, that may be a clue. Who knows Mandarin here? |

Noticed something. Both Xperia Z and the S IV comes with a 1080p screen of the same size, and that the camera is supposed to capture a microscopic view of both phones' screens. What I don't get is why the S IV's screen's diamond-shaped pixels are visible while the Xperia Z's only displays white. Either there's something wrong with that diamond-shape configuration or that the display of the Xperia Z, whichever panel this is, has a white sub pixel.

I think it's like this. The galaxy S3 and S4 use some sort of pentile display. This means the display may have the same amount of pixels but not the same amount of subpixels. For example i think the S3 uses RG BG instead of RGB RGB. To produce white you need to turn on red, green and blue. The smaller the pixels or subpixels the better the effect of white. If you zoom in further you will also see the individual colours on the xperia z.

Hmmm, it does use RG BG, but in a diamond shape. But if both are zoomed in at the same level, then it seems the pixels of the S IV are larger. |

After playing with the phone today alot after getting it yesterday I have a few negative things to say:-
The battery drains like he'll even with stamina mode.
The camera seems carp and the flash is so poor and weak.
