EDIT: now if Sony can make the international ION waterproof I think they can do the same with international GX. it'll surely steal more fame from GSIII imo.

It had been 3 months since the announcement of the xperia acro hd in Japan, it really makes me wonder why the hell didn't they improve the cpu. This makes me think that Sony is reserving that powerful cpu for another phone, nonetheless this is better than the xperia arc-xperia arc s fiasco. |

Just don't get your hopes too high, afterall even Android Jellybean won't stress dualcore SoCs. so GSIII's computing muscle stays useless until there's a game that can make work all of its power (which I don't see coming). high-score benchmarks are for mere eyecandy meant for establishing bragging rights

Sony should get a new VP of marketing. Are they using a monkey that generates random letter combinations on a typewriter that Sony passes off as product names ? There's no consistency at all, no logic, it's only Xperia + random stuff. |

Here we go again! Multi-core support has been part of Android since 3.0. Why do you just assume there's one thing happening in an Android device at a time ? Even if the user is just using one app the system may have plenty of other things to do (like garbage collection, syncing accounts, updating apps, running Lookout etc etc). |

Maybe I didn't understand you, sure I'd prefer a dual A15 running at 2GHz vs a quad A9 running at 1.5GHz.
But I would also prefer a 28-32nm quad A9 vs an old dual 45nm A9. Esp if you're into gaming. |

For the naming scheme realise that GX and SX are the names of the Japanese handset, Japan had the NX before that.
I wouldn't expect the international versions to carry such meaningless letters.
I do like the idea that they reuse old names, maybe with a numerical index. This gives the users an understanding to the portfolio layout and chronology. It would be/is also good that they don't completely change the designs every 6 months, I think small, significant and positive updates to previous iterations is less confusing.
Xperia S should been called X10 II only that sounds stupid, so Xperia S will do. The next in that design line should be xperia S2 etc
"GXi" ought to get the Arc II name etc
And they should stop the development on 'SS' if there is such a handset just do a yearly update and make sure it's awesome instead of two half baked 6 month efforts that confuse and upset the consumer.

Of course I'd go for that as well, I'm not against having the best specs on a device I'm using but there were other more important features to put more attention, and since there's basically no current android HD game that can cripple even a tegra 2's performance, why do some people still bash over something they barely understand?

Maybe not so much problems once you're into an app, but even the HTC One X has gotten a fair amount of criticism about its multitasking switching and quite a few Tegra 2 tablets are seen as laggy when you flip between home screens if you have a few widgets going. |
