The idea of using a higher bit rate with a lower resolution didn't sound all that bad to me at first but this is really low quality...
Edit:
Compare to c902 (similar video):

Having the sensor active and ready before the shutter opens and after it closes will ensure that all light exposed during the opening of the shutter will be recorded.
Yes, therefore the sensor is only exposed during the time the shutter is open, which would make the two values the same. The sensor doesn't 'get ready' so to speak. And any black the sensor is exposed to would destroy the picture Max.
This is getting silly now
The C905 DOES have a mechanical shutter. It is well noted in a few reviews.
Everyone seems to be missing my point here, even though I've posted the explanation several times.
The actual photographic term 'Shutter Speed', is the same as the term 'Exposure Time'. They measure the same thing. They ARE the same thing! There are two different available EXIF entries I believe because Manufacturers choose either one or the other to express this value.
Look at my previous posts please! You can see how one program reads the EXIF value 1/1600 as Exposure Time, and the other as Shutter Speed. You can also read how these two terms are one and the same thing.
What I'm trying to get across here is that I have no idea what this 1 sec relates to but is nothing to do with Shutter Speed. You can NOT have a Shutter Speed of 1 sec and an exposure time of 1/1600 sec!
Manufacturers wouldn't fill in an entry for the sake of it. There are numerous entries which are blank, so fill in that one? It's information in the wrong place, or, is just measuring a response time or something like that.

Back to another topic which I think deserve a little more discussion: what about VGA video recording? Has this been confirmed yet?

I don't think there has ever been any doubt it would be QVGA. That's what the white paper stated and what the reviews have been mentioning too. The videos on YouTube are in this format too, and they are quite poor.

well I should have said Brisbane I guess - we are a bit behind. But that was a couple of weeks ago now, they might be starting to get wind of it by now. I'm going into the city tonight, I'll ask again.

You can be indeed. It's price will be high at the beginning imo (at least in my country) so people will wait for it to fall down before buying the phone.
