An FYI, it is impossible to bluejack anybody in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Unless NOk*a users the switch off their bluetooth so as to not catch the bird-flu which has now claimed about 13 lives so far...

Wer raeuspert ist ein Schwein und weis selber nicht, das er eins ist. Ignoriert und haltet Euch fern von solchen Leuten. Räuspern ist die rücksichtsloseste Unsitte.

Hey, Marc_la, that is a really wierd message that you got.
I translated it, and it comes out to something like this:
Who clears the throat is a pig and do not point which it is one. Ignores and holds You far from such people. Clear the throat is the most thoughtless bad habit.
Guess they don't like you clearing your throat. By the way, go to AIM Enhancements, then go find the AIM translator. It says that it is for instant messaging, but I use it all of the time for French class. It's really handy. This page has some other nice AIM hacks, like cloning your AIM so that you can log on to multiple names at a time.

I think he mean the horribly "rrra arrr" noise, which some of itself give. The german´s hate this noise and it is an horror vor the people. |

Hi all,
beeing german myself I'll try to translate this curious message
------------
Wer raeuspert ist ein Schwein und weis selber nicht, das er eins ist. Ignoriert und haltet Euch fern von solchen Leuten. Räuspern ist die rücksichtsloseste Unsitte.
-------------
Someone who clears his throat is a pig and does not know that he is one (a pig). Stay away from (them) and ignore those people. Clearing ones throat is the most thoughtless bad habit.
-------------
Well I must admit this is not making much sense (neither in german nor in english).
But you are right that this "rrra arrr" noise is meant.
I imagine a 65 year old geek sending those kind of messages .
Btw I do not think (we) germans really hate this noise ... maybe it's only him.
happy bluejacking

A question for all. Do you find that it's harder to bluejack the last few months? Your thoughts and comments on this...

for me its easier because I got a P900 in early Jan and installed Sman!
but I know what you mean and I am finding less and less success for phones actually found and am finding less and less phones in the first place. I always try on Monday morning at Gatwick in the lounge and on arrival at Frankfurt and then in the lounge At Frankfurt on friday and on arrival at Gatwick. My target audience is mostly business men with Nokias so its a good indication that they are becoming more 'aware' I think

I've been bj'ing for about 4 months now - since I started reading this thread.
The most successful place for me is the train station - but the facial expressions on the tube are priceless - the beep beep of a txt msg on the tube?? can't beat it.
I've never been sussed and have only once been bj'd myself |

@ Masseur Do you find that Sman somethimes `crashes the bluetooth on the P9?
I have the problem a lot mainly when the scan does not pick up any other phones.

I always use sman to bj - never had any problems
the only time my P900 has crashed has been when I forget to flush the tasks and the memory clogs up
I did get a 'network email' the other day that wont let me read or delete it - any ideas? It doesn't show up in any message folders - I just get the email symbol faded out on the task bar? |

This has gotta be my best jack yet!
Was in Safeway supermarket and did a quick scan with the 'Lucifer' contact.(thats my modified version of the Satan contact )
Name=Lucifer
Mobile=666
Email=thedevil@hell.com
Title=Satan
Anyway,to my surprise a contact called Big Gay Lover came up!
I could'nt miss this one,i mean,i nearly burst out laughing before i even jacked him!
So i sent Lucifer but i was still listening to my hpm-10(plugged in me t68i)so i did'nt here a tone go off,then i walked around the corner and theres this guy looking at a 6310 So i sent him the 'Virus Activated' contact to confirm it was him,and it was!
So without making myself noticed i decided to.........................
The guy in the dark jacket and with a contact name like that he must be very 'open'. fun! fun! fun!

Well, duh, it's harder to bluejack. I mean, now everyone knows about it (okay, not everyone, but more people than just the average bluetooth enabled phone owner knows). There are official sites on it and people keep spreading the word on. People bloody asked SONY Ericsson about it (wasn't that Miss Jellie?) and direct everyone to their site!
It reminds me of skateboarding. Not many people cared about it until that sell-out Tony Hawk came out with his game (okay, Activision brought it out, but it's his name on it) Now we have 5 year olds skateboarding (in the US) and trying to be like them. How many people don't know what skateboarding is!??!?
Well, we've done the same thing to bluejacking. True, we haven't exploited it that bad, but we have exploited it and abused it. We just throw it around like no one's business. So this is why everyone knows. And this is why they keep their phones' bluetooth off. And this is why we haven't been able to bluejack that many people.
Good job fellas!
