Hey whats the diff between k700 and k700i?
i'm from s'pore and just saw k700i; though i find it rather pricey at S$980; while T630 was retailed priced at S$618. I wonder how much S700 will be then.

The SE K700 is just a generic name for the SE K700i (international version) and the SE K700c (chinese version).

?? - thats the craziest thing Ive heard - are you sure about that ?

Do you mean it randomly deletes numbers - all by it self ?

Certainly does - i have put a number of entries in, some with one number and some with more. Then when i go through the phone book some have a number missing (usually 2 or 3 out of 30) and some of the ones with just one number have just the name showing...

No i have checked with a few tests and i definitely saved them - some have been there for a while and then disappeared, if i hadn't saved them they would never have been visible!

Hey guys.
How do you rate the white LED or "flash" in the K700?
Also how is the RF in this phone? Because in T610 and T300 sucked, it was always in red and low.

Yeah, I don't know if we could really call it a "flash". It's just a bright, white LED that stays on and gives a decent amount of light in low light conditions. It's good for close up shots, but not that good when shooting something far away.

Hmmm seems there are a lot of bugs in the K700i.
I have two minor but annoying things.
First one is the background light is on when you recharge the battery, it doesn't matter whether you shut off the phone or not it still glows.
Second one is associated with the phone book.
As you all know, numbers are displayed with name and sometimes there is a totally different number from what I have written to that contact. My second problem disappears when I delete my contact and add a new contact with exactly the same name again.

Strange!

Check out some close up shots

I wanted to upload some images of my display comparison between Sony Ericsson K700i, T630, Samsung SGH-E700 and Nokia 6600 but I need some free webspace to put them somewhere.

Great snapshots!!! High quality 4 Mega-pixel pictures!

Samsung screen looks like a charm - it would be great to see the same image on those mobiles to compare the screen and, if possible, someone who could take a picture with several mobiles (at the same object/scene) and post to make a comparison.

(if K700 has that bugs I just canīt get why SE engineers donīt find that in the tests section...)

I'm glad you liked it

I have added shooting information now if you want to know more about it.

Background light is not on when recharging my phone.
Just did a recharge of a shut off phone - backlight turn on a few seconds saying its charging, then turns off, just as it should. I can turn it on for a few seconds while charging by pressing a key - but it turns off again just as expected.

I also have no problems with contacts or entries.

In fact, apart from the batterylevel meter, I have found no bugs at all in my phone - everything works fine.

Did you synch with FMA, or Outlook, or did you add the contacts manually ?

I synched my T610 with Outlook, and then synched my K700 with outlook and everything is fine. I've heard someone else mention he had some troubles with contacts after synching with FMA.

firmwarerelease ?

Mine is R2A041
