More P1i pics taken today. The sun was out in full force, no clouds about... why can't there be more weekends like this in Spring in the UK? LOL.
It's been a bugger running this performance 600 bike in; the owner's manual says for the first 800 km's to not go above 4000 rpm, then from 800 km's to 1500 km's it's not to rev above 6000 rpm.. and this thing's redline only starts at 15500rpm!!! FFS, this thing's screaming to have its throttle wacked wide open... oh the torture until it's fully run-in, LOL.
Patience, O Wanqing One...:

Eish your baby is lookin hot as always boet, that green realy suits it. how many km's has she done? Hang in there, im sure they say that just to allow you to get used to the bike before going into deathcon (yes ive been watching toooo much Top Gear), or is it something to do with the bikes mechanics? cause i know some cars are the same when brand new, you're told not to do certain things up until this many kms.

Thanks gucci,
With bikes your supposed to run them in. Its just to wake up the engine so it can get used 2 what its supposed to do. And it helps it last longer, with my bike i ran a 20min session with quarter throttle, let it cul down, then the next 20min session i ran it at half throttle, let it cool down. The the next 20min session at 3 quarter throttle, each session i went thru all the gears to also wake the gears up. Its something ill always do. Just to make sure she last quite long. |

lmao GUCCI, true, true . The campus is a mother, only good as a work out for your legs though. Which is why I spent the 10 mins I supposingly spent at the gym on my upper body, weights and ish... Waste of time really hehe.

LOL thanks guys.
@ Gucci:
Ya the greenie's still got about 200 clicks to go before it's run in. (approx 1500 km's to run it in properly).
Boet, whether it's a car or bike, running a new internal combustion engine in properly will pay dividends in the long run, that's for sure. It allows all the new engine internals to 'bed in' properly, thereby prolong the engine life, performance and reliability significantly. Well worth the effort, and patience...

@ Kyle:
Did you see that Bubba's had another amazing ride in New Orleans this past weekend? He's closed up to Reed; just 8 points separate them and there's 6 rounds left...
