That iPhone photo was taken on a beautiful warm day during last summer with the sun behind me so no excuses I'm afraid - the conditions were ideal. iPhone 3G photos are characterised by blurriness and are dull and lifeless. If you think it looks poor above, you should see it on the gorgeous, bright, high-quality screen of the iPhone which just magnifies the faults to the nth degree. Makes you cringe, seriously.
If however, you upload V640i photos to the iPhone's photo gallery, you'll be stunned by the results. You'll swear they were taken by a DSLR and optimised by Photoshop - the iPhone screen just makes them shine! Quite ironic really...

Im not surprised at all! Thats what apple are good at Heaps of BS Thats just my opinion though!
Either way, the colours on the W995 shot looked very bland in comparison to the iphone shot and thats not exactly something to be proud of. Just looking at samples by themselves is bad enough. Im so dissapointed! |

Well the C905 can produce some stunning results, sometimes things taken by the c905 look even better than they do in real life (IMO) So its kinda suprising that the w995 can't at least match that (minus xenon of course)

@soane28
If you think of the iPhone as a media viewing device rather than a media creation device like the phones we're used to, then it makes more sense. You know, like an iPod with a phone added...
Which I guess, kinda makes an iPhone v W995 camera comparison absurd.

What's with the sound on the XT Testdrive website? Every time I visit I have to turn my sound off cause it irritates me. I wonder who thought it was a good idea to put that in... An unnecessary waste of bandwidth.

Facebook users claiming Bain is guilty could be sued
Hundreds of users of the social networking website Facebook could be sued for defamation for joining a group that claims David Bain is guilty of murder, a media law expert warns.
Mr Bain was acquitted last Friday by a jury in the High Court at Christchurch for killing his parents and three siblings.
However, a group called "David Bain is Guilty" has appeared on Facebook. It has more than 300 members. more...
On a lighter note the article also says:
"Also featured on Facebook is a group called "David Bain is Innocent", which has 123 members.
Another, "David Bain Who Cares" has only two people supporting it.
In all, there are 21 groups associated with Mr Bain.
Of the more frivolous are: "Give David Bain His Paper Round Back", 47 members, "David Bain Sweater Appreciation Group", with 583 members, and "David Bain versus Mark Lundy", 36 members.
By a wide margin however, the most popular group on the website is "David Bain for Dancing with the Stars", with a whopping 3975 supporters."

No you can't get away with that stuff in 'first world' countries.
Can you tell me why you have 1228 posts but only 10 that count? Why don't you want to participate in the general Esato community?

It doesn't appear to be available yet, but I did notice the W995 is in. It's at $998, so I hate to think how much its going to be on Telecom/Vodafone.

C510 at EI - $365
C510 on telecom - $400
Difference - $35 or a 10% increase
Judging by this we could expect W995 to be about $1100 maths is fun
