Since today German Vodafone has the P990i listed in the onlineshop preview:

The good thing in this is that they will definitely get it - however it usually takes some month from there. The M600i is shown for almost a month now and it is still not available... |

It's so sad. Even though the P990 was announced WAY before any of SE's new phones, they are all still hitting the market WAY before the P990. I read the M600 user guide a few weeks ago, and now I've just looked over the K800 user guide. Why can't the P990 guide come out? Why can't the P990 itself just come out?
By the way, there are only 3 days left in June (Q2), but SE still hasn't officially said anything about delays, right? Do you think they will? Shouldn't they have to since they are still claiming it will be "commercially available in Q2," even though we all know that can't happen? |

Lanseringen av Sony Ericsson P990i har dessvärre blivit något försenad och planeras nu att släppas under kvartal 3 2006. Ytterligare information finns dessvärre inte att tillgå.

Something entirely different from all the talk about release dates: Anyone know whether the P990 will (or is likely to) include a LocationFree TV player? Heard talk about it some while ago - particularly when Sony announced that LocationFree was coming to Europe, but nothing since and there's nothing on the SE site about it.
Anyone know anything more? If there is definitely going to be a P990 player then this for me would be the decider between LocationFree or s Slingbox. |

just install Orb (orb.com) on your PC, one of the best location free "free" apps out there. I watch all my 150+ channels live & DVR recorded media & music on my phone... no real need for Slingbox! |

I have ordered a P990 from tbh.se and they have already drawn the amount for the P990 from my account! This would indicate to me that the P990 must be very close to delivery... or am i completely wrong??? |

My point of view is that we should just wait for it.
We want a phone that will work properly and for me, hopefully the TomTom for the p990i will be out by then too.
Then that will be an awesome combination.
Nokia at the moment just release their N Series with loads of faults and you just get anoyed and end up taking the phone back again and again. |

No that just indicates bad business. Good businesses only draw the amount after the product is shipped.

i'ts coming the wait is almost over it started shipping (don't ask where i got the information) by july 15 it will be in every provider's shop in europe. and by the end of july in canada and the states.

But you are wrong about being out in the USA i know for a fact thier is no P990a coming to the states any time soon. Ive heard possably for a X-Mas release.... but that is slim to none. |

i have seen many mails from you supporting imate kjam....
i have also decided to for this one as my wait for p990 is over now
but i would like to know a few more things
1. how is the sound of ring tones.. do they match that of p910i
2. can mp3 songs be used as ring tones
3. do we get the software support as for symbian Phones
4. is this phone fast when we use... nokia phones are very slow and p910i is a very fast
5. is browsing internet comfortable
6. what is your opinion about whether to get kjam or jamin
7. when i used p910i i had to recharge it daily .... is the battery life of imate more than p910i with similar kind of use

Really dying to see if you can confirm.. If so, that would be great news!! Btw, the only difference between a 990i and 990a would be that the 990a would in theory have 2.5G so it works in US. But beyond the 3G functionality, SE usually doesn't change anything else (looking at the specs for K790i vs K790a) |
