Check this out, taken from one of the free London commuter newspapers today:

Matt Damon: from Jason Bourne... to Francois Pienaar:

Didn't realise that Clint Eastwood (Klont Oosthuizen?) was directing 'Human Factor.'

Seems like SA mobile networks are in the midst of a price war.

Rhino: Lemme join the chorus and congratulate you on the new baby.

HOBBS: Seriously I don't see the point of putting something like Windows 98 on your S60 phonee but there'll always be hackers out there hoping to push the boundaries.

Yesterday, my radio at work blew out, so this morning I dug my 5 year old K700i from the drawer I retire my electronics to, and put it on charge and switched it on, and the radio is blaring...

Back to the 5800, I added some mp3's to the phone and wow @ the audio quality via the stereo loudspeakers... I actually had to reduce the volume, that's how loud this phone is, and it did not distort on my 128kbs mp3's.

Today i will use the in box video converter (IF i can figure out how it works) to convert a movie for the phone and let you guys know how i feel about it.

The only gripe I have with the phone is not with the phone really, its the OVI suite you get with the package. Its slowwww and crap... I HATE IT.

Eish Wangs. You should see the temperatures today for the Western Cape.Cape Town is going to be 38 degrees again and if you go as far as Paarl and further you going to encounter what 40 degrees and up feels like. Also spare a thought for the brave firefighters out there who are fighting three massive runaway fires in Somerset West,Stellenbosch and Paarl.@RHINO So far so good with the 5800.You might just convince Ol Wangs if you keep this up.@Brix,curiosity is what makes u put Windows 95 on your S60 device. Its harmless.Dont be so grouchy bro lol If it was running quite fast and u could increase the font so that u could actually read stuff I would be mighty impressed, but its slow and unreadable so I agree with u 100 percent.3 more sleeps for me before I enter the Apple Wonderland.Hee Haa

At least there'll be a breeze tomorrow during the Argus, a south easter, all of 40km/h has been predicted.

I didnt get around to the video conversion. Guess i am going to wait untill DivX release the official divX player, can't be bothered with converting ANY video. (My assistant on the other hand... guess ill pirate movies from him and see what it looks like)

Also cant wait for Mobipocket to release the 5800 reader (Whenever that will be) I can read my books with the N95 reader, but it doesnt pick up my annotations...

The last I heard, Mobipocket's main programmer/chief wizard had resigned, hence the delay in churning out updates.

Have not tried it yet, will be sure to do so this weekend, and give an update accordingly.

My first one hour battery charge lasted 36hours, which included 1 15minute video call, about 6 hours wi-fi internet surfing, an hour worth of music playback via the loudspeaker, and a lot of messing around with the menu etc.
I also have very bad 3g signal at home so it eats away at my battery when the phone keep switching between 3g and gsm. I will however NOT switch off the 3g since i make and receive frequent video calls.

Yeah and Johnson's possibly broken another one of Smith's fingers, this time on his right hand. I hope the x-rays prove otherwise...

@ Rhino:

Have you managed to put the 5800's camera through its paces yet?

@wanqs I honestly don't see the Proteas coming out of this one, they never looked convincing from the first match. It's like they don't know what hit them. Full marks to the bowlers this morning, pity about the batsmen. Also, have to give credit to the Aussies, they seem to have come here with one goal in mind and it shows. To those who are on mtn (Rhino being one, I think) how is the branding on your phones? Is it as infuriating as ours- vodafone.

Yeah true that, Ems.
There's pretty much no way that we're going to end up the better team in this series, even if Duminy continues some heroics with Steyn tomorrow.
Oz have indeed done wonders with so many fledgling players in the team delivering.
