@mrwoll

I love the phone too... I had not bought a new phone for lack of seeing something that seemed worth it for well over a year...

As you say despite its faults I still love it but unfortunatly for SE and O2 I like my gadjets and tech tip-top... As b4 if there aint a cure it is going back... [addsig]

Well I've got over 1/2 a GB of MP3's and videos on the phone and despite the initial errors, everything has worked beautifully so far.

same here, Ive not been able to reproduce any of the "bugs" described here.

Everything works as expected on my K750 R1N035 unbranded.

Those experiensing filetransfer or bluetooth problems, do you have branded firmwares ? or have you made any "changes" like previous davinci/tms flashing on your phones ? Or are you on the same customisation/region ?

Just trying to find some pattern, that may shed any light on this.

My handset is totally clean (no brand lock). Always updated via SEUS.

On Vodafone UK, I cannot update from SEUS. Regardless of the information at the start of this thread!
It just tells me that it is up to date, if I force an update it starts to download the R1L002 firmware.
Anyone have any clue as to why?

EDIT: Sorry, thick first post...obviously I can't read...

I have the R1L002 SW and i found something.. maybe it's a bug maybe not but yes its something stupid hehe...

Ok I go to Settings>Sounds & Alerts>Message Alert then I go to the last alert and I select "Replace".. Ok if you search through the list you can find all the mp3s of the phone memory, and all mp3s of this folder of the memory stick: MSSEMC/Media Files/Audio, but I CAN'T see any mp3 of the MP3 folder of the memory stick...

However if you want an mp3 of the mp3 folder as a ringtone you can select it in the file manager hehe

can some1 check if you experience the same problem? thanks

I find the same in my R1L....

I think the mp3's have to be on the sounds folder and phone mem if any1 is to use it as a message alert.

I cant access the mp3 folder on mem stick from settings but it works the way I said 4 me.

So jayteee you have problem with mp3 transfer as well? Since Numb mentioned about "pattern", I found that even after I flashed back to DVT R1L from R1N using DVT, DVT R1L on my phone performs slightly slower than my original R1L firmware, but definitely a lot smoother than SEUS R1N. That made me wonder if there was any difference between original R1L firmware and DVT R1L firmware. Nevertheless, after I flashed back to DVT R1L, I do not have any problem with MP3 file or large sized file transfer.

I agree with you, I reckon my branded O2 R1L operated smoother than my DV R1L which I flashed back to after having flashed to R1N. But the DV R1L is still fine and I havent had real problems. Just annoying when I am trying to transfer say multiple .jar files after the first is transfered I always get the error msg "Memory Full", which is rubbish because it lets me do them 1 by 1. I am pretty sure the Bluetooth security issuses addressed in R1N fixed this.

Another problem I am having ever since I updated to R1N on SEUS is that I cant use the pop3 email setup to check my Gmail. It worked flawlessly before (having enabled it in Gmail settings and using the settings described in a sticky on Howard Forum) now I just get Finding Server msg the whole time.

Anyone else experienced the same problem?

Maybe I',m doing something seriously wrong here, but I tried this, also tried a "virgin" win install, it finds 5 devices, but the update drivers give an error on all devices found "the selected drivers do not contain information on your hardware"... So the only drivers it accepts are the "normal" USB ones. Also tried plugging with "c" pressed, nothing... And the "flash" device some people talk about, doesn't pop up under my "USB controllers" or "disk drives" in Device Manager when I plug in the phone... Can someone help by being a little more detailed? Or is it just my win that don't accept the update drivers? :S It's XP sp2 EN, trying to update a VF live GR k750i, now on R1C004.
Edit: Java is the 1.5 latest, SE Suite latest (1.7.10) and SEUS 1.19 executable

Hi All,

Im new to the firmware game...

As alot of K750i phones still wont update via SEUS saying that the 'Software is already upto date', does this mean that the phones will never be able to update as they are Branded? For example mine is with Optus in Australia, or is this just a temporary issue and will only be a matter of time before all phones will update using SEUS?

Thanks.

I am a little confused as to whether my phone is branded or not. It is from Vodafone UK, but is black:

R1L002
prgCXC125952_EU_1_CL
R1L002

Camera: 4.4

ITP: CXC 125 932 R1D

Customization:
CDA102338/68 R4A
cxc125953 R1L002
EUROPE_2

Content: PA19

Everything in the SIM lock page says 5.

What is this phone? Vodafone gave me a silver one to begin with, and replaced it with this one when I complained, but I am now unclear as to whether it is branded or not.

SEUS says it is up-to-date with R1L.

Thanks

Tom

EDIT: Ah, forget it. Just seen the CDA details on the operator list on the first post. I didn't realize I could have the non-VF handset, but with the VF customization. It allows non-DRMed MP3s as ringtones, too, I believe.
