@lestertm:

I found out from yesterday that R1F firmware for the P800 was released yesterday, so you can expect EricServe to have the new firmware soon. Also, an FYI, flashing a P800 takes about one (1) hour from start to finish.

Also, you have not updated your avatar yet, still says you have a T68...

@sanjeevjaya:

Remember to set your phone from "GRPS and GSM" mode to "GSM only" mode to make your battery last longer. That's what I did the last time with your R520m to make battery last longer.

SE Forever!!!!

Cheers,

I got my flip removed too but find the virtual keypad quite useless. Is there a way we can "skin" the virtual keypad?

For Maxis GPRS users that needs the setting for P800:

Control panel > Connections > Internet accounts

1. New
2. Account name: (any name)
3. Connection type: GPRS
4. Advanced
5. Server > Username/password required (checked)
6. Username: maxis
7. Password: wap
8. Address: net
9. Login > Get IP auto (checked) > Get DNS auto (checked)
10. Proxy > Use proxy server (unchecked)
11. Other > Enable PPP ext (unchecked) > Authentication (Normal)
12. QoS > Header compression (unchecked)
13. QoS > Prec/Delay/Peak/Mean (subscribed) / Reliability (Class 3)
14. Done

Control panel > Connections > WAP account

1. New
2. Account name (any name)
3. Internet account (select your Internet account name)
4. Use proxy (checked)
5. Address: 202.075.133.049
6. Port 9201
7. Username: maxis
8. Password: wap

BTW - what's the latest fix in firmware R1F? Is there any other place I can get mine flashed besides EricServe?

@veon18:

Did the battery last longer on your T300 once the GPRS was switch off? I know it did when I did that to my R520m and on all my newer phones, it was never turned on so I don't know the difference. Drawback is it takes an extra two (2) seconds to go into WAP for the very first page you browse to, everything else is like before.... Can't seem to do that to my P800...

Hehehee, have my avatar changed . Quite satisfied with my P800 everything works as expected (MMS, email, Bluetooth Sync, movie clip, MP3 and some of the basic PDA function), but still hard to find additional software since it's very new in the market. I'm also looking for some language file to install especially chinese coz wanted to view some chinese site and sms, does anyone know where to find it?

@ajack: me so stupid, just now I only found out that I already have R1F in my phone.
