One thing I genuinely don't understand about Sony is when they have a minority of devices with an inferior screen, why send that one to reviewers? It also results in inconsistent reviews are arguments between others later. The majority of devices according to an XDA poll are Sharp displays (the better one), which the oppo 5 and butterfly both use, shown by their near identical contrast ratios according to that test. |

Wouldn't explain why some reviews said the screen was amazing (or their definition of amazing - over-saturated displays with viewing angles so the entire world can see who they are texting [not that this is necessarily true for the Sharp display, I'm simply defining 'amazing' as they do]) as the ones with the Sharp display are. It means they got the 'better' version.
The same happened with the T/TX. Mixed reviews on the screen. Some praised its viewing angles and said it had deep blacks, others the opposite. All thanks to Sony not sending the best devices to the reviewers. I know it's usually only the first few devices which ever have the problem, but still, that's when phones are rated and the reputation of the phone builds.

Perhaps you just shouldn't bother buying this over priced Sony phone if your so worried and look at something else

It's not overpriced, and I'm not worried. My comments were about reviews of inferior screens influencing thousands of people to not buy it. I already have a phone I'm content with. The Z beats the N4 in every way, but I'm happy to wait for next year. |

Infairness to Sony. The introductory price of Z/ZL in my country were reasonably priced. The S3 and Note 2 are priced higher when it first came out. Even the HTC Butterfly comes out more expensive.

I won a Z on Ebay for £370 which i thought was good as its brand new in the box, should get it today or tomorrow. |

So nothing to concentrate on.
Every great product gets enormous hype.
And it always causes also massive disappointments, moaning, etc.
Always.
In the end it's about if you care about disadvantages of the product, or not.
Just like that.

The Screen is good, but the UI were set differently for different Version
i.e. Japanese version seems to be set with Black tone rather than the International version

According to me it does not save automatically in external drive because there are no files in android - > data folder.
Secondly Xperia Z has flash storage of 16GB which acts as internal SD Card.
My file manager clearly shows sdcard and sdcard1.
This is not a good news out of jellybean

I think its moisture. it can happened some time if phone is temperature is hot & water is cold & vice versa. it may clear automatically after some time. if im not wrong. |
