@QuickShare
I think that you resized the second image in CS2 not cropped it. When you crop it a part of the picture is lost but the remaining image is not altered in any way so we can see the real picture in detail. Then if your second picture had been cropped the flower should look bigger than in the first picture and part of the surrounding area would have been cut out.
Example:
Original picture resized by esato:
Cropped picture in Photoshop to 800x600:
In the second picture you loose a part of it, but you can see the real quality of the picture because is not reized or altered in any way, it is just cropped.
I hope you understand what I try to explain.
BTW I use "canvas size" in PS to crop the image.

No problem QuickShare !
I think that it is important that people posting pictures actually understand the difference between resizing and cropping an image. When resizing you alter the picture quality (you make the whole picture smaller thus loosing pixels), when cropping you loose a part of the image but the original quality is untouched.
As we are here testing different cam drivers, I think that what really matters is the original quality of the picture and this is lost when resizing the image either by Esato, PS or any other application. This is why I suggest cropping the pictures to 800x600 (even though, I insist, we will loose part of the image) so we can fairly compare the capabilities of different drivers.
