@motla: Good place to study. Are there no internet access points there? I understand that there are quite a few restrictions on students.

study hard moto, mtel has been showing limited service in uniport since yesterday so am going to get a glo 805 tomorrow. a recent report released by NCC on tuesday guardian reveals that vmobile is the worst gsm provider in nigeria. |

Personally, Glo & MTN give the best value for money.
The NCC Report simply confirms that.

@aya there are internet service points but it's quite shaky for now and i promise to post any time i get the chance. infact there are a lot of restrictions on students eg we are not allowed to use phones(the greatest one) but other rules there are quite okay 4 me. bye guys |

I'll take that news with a pinch of salt...everyone has been speculating about VMobile and it's future ownership...Vodacom would like to buy but many issues needs to be cleared up first.
BTW the biggest communications deal was clinched yesterday when Celltel was bought for over $3 billion buy Mobile Telecom Company from Kuwait..speculation is that MTN might be the next takeover target for European and Middle Eastern operators wanting to set up shop in the burgeoning African telecoms market.
