Just phoned Live Telecom (see previous link) and was told that they will be starting to ship the K750 sim free as of tomorrow. I've placed an order with them and got one for £259.97 + vat and free next day Uk delivery. Should be with me by Thursday
Anyone want an S700i
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose |

Isn't it illegal to offer a service that you can't/won't provide? |

Rang O2 this morning as soon as I realized it was on there.
First time on the upgrade number she denied they even had it?!?!!
Second time another lady advised i call in 1 week regarding an upgrade.
Third time rang the cancellation line and said i wanted to cancel (before I realized Orange had it, had I known I would have driven a harder bargain!!).
The lady (Alison) was putting me on and off hold and finally said she had ordered it for me, gave me her extension number etc. She also confirmed my delivery address which i asked if could change. This has been updated on my O2 profile now.
She said to wait up to 28 days!!!!!! They'll e mail me a tracking number. She did basically go through all the motions confirmed it would be a new contract and confirmed the order.
What a joke, 3 different calls 3 different results. I've been waiting to upgrade 2 months and was willing to even go straight back with O2.
Will wait and see, that was about 9.30am, as yet still no despatch number. |

False advertising in a way. Suppose people could get onto Fair Trade or whoever handles those sort of situations.

Don't blame u m8. I considered it. But now I've decided to bide my time and blag myself a better deal, gettin the phone for free (well, ish!) when I'm due for upgrade.
Somehow can't justify £120 for 20 days wait.....

below24, why would you want 6?!?
The reason they don't like to sell 'em simfree when they are released is simply that they make more money selling them on a contract, this is the same reason they don't offer upgrades straight away.
I've been a salesperson so i know why they do it & having been in that position i agree with them i'm afraid (tough i know!) it's not profitable for the saleperson (is for the company but not AS MUCH as a contract)
I used to sell simfree D500s for £400 & make £0, thats right £0 from it, I sold a contract & i'd make a tenner or so, what would you do in that situation? It's not fair but....
In relation to them refusing to sell you them remember that any retailer can refuse you service if they so wish, harsh but not a thing you can do about it.

Just had a man from SE ring me to tell me the 750i will be on the eshop thursday/friday this week and priced £325... I was driving at the tiem so couldnt get into deep conversation but I think asking £325 is a bit much!

I went onto the orange website to see about upgrading (currently had my t610 about 18 months).
Seems to suggest I have to pay £189 to upgrade my phone.
Admittedly I am only on a £15 a month tariff but that seems very costly.
I would gladly upgrade my tariff to about £30 on a 12 month contract to get the phone for £30 (which is what I could get it for if i took out a new contract).
Doesnt seem possible though, guess I will just have to jump to o2. |
