Yes it is... Posted that link in error... I find Opera maybe not as good as Netfront but great for downloading, etc. And its substantially smaller too...

PLease can anybody conduct this experiment for me, i want to know if the nokia 6630, will work on the TATA-indicom network using the "T-SIM" they provide with the NOIDA 2280 phone, since the 6630 is supposed to be a WCDMA enabled phone, i guess it should work...

Please... Borrow or steal a 6630 if you can...

@prom hi. I got some ngage games and they rock. My 6680 loads splinter cell in 2 sec and its superb.
My newest query is- i want smart movie player. Now i have all its versions but none of them work on my symbian 8.0a version. Anything that works for 6630 works for me except for smart movie player. I have the convertor software and the xvid codec but can't find the highest version that works. Anyone have any info on this ?
dont your thumbs hurt??

@mrao, Opera browser is free for all P900's and for very select Western Europe for certain Nokia models; it'll only recognize for a specific IMEI range. NetFront is still faster and cleaner.

@paul, good to see that apps are loading really fast. I will also second that about hofo (suggested forums from previous poster; I go by the same name there). There is someone there that has gone through 2 6680 + 6682 (1 apiece). He may have a working solution. Or check out mIRC for updates. Sshh.

For those with the 668x/6630, I've got a serious question. When you dial a number and the call is in progress, and you now want to use ur extra dialing tones, does it take as many steps to do so like my 6620 using Symbian OS 7.1?

I call my bank regularly to check my balance and it is a pain in the ass for me to specifically tell it I want to send tones for the contact that I've already dialed, and also to ok my selection. Is this done much simpler in the new 8.1 OS phones? Anyone?

Thanks Kryptik for replying. The only work around I find on my 6620 is to include the Send Tones with the original phone number, but if there is a change I dont want to do that. Plus I dont want the Tones to be immediately visible. This is something I've always been able to do beautifully on my Ericsson T39m, SE z600 and k700i without issue.

So the Series60 isnt perfect but I hope this is an improvement that'll happen with the updated OS in the N70.

What version of s60 does the qd use? Wonder if there's a way to upgrade your old software to newer ones! That would be great.

@whizkidd, wassssup! The QD runs on Symbian OS v6.0. Many things are missing. Ability to theme, as you noticed isn't possible. Old software may have newer versions for the QD, but firmware upgrades may not give much new features - unless Arena or BT or game engine related. Not sure what the Series60 version is; thats confusing. If I find it I'll post back.

@paul, thanks hope that it is indeed easier. Just calling to find out your balance to your bank, and using touch tones - preprogrammed - to enter your account, check balance, heck even sign out. If it is indeed easier in Symbian OS v8.0+ Series60 devices then I can't wait to upgrade.

@Whizz, Dude got your answer. Had to wikipedia it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_Series60

Series 60 1st Edition (Version 1.2), based on Symbian OS 6.1 ; so the QD falls in this category, oddly enough so does the Sendo X & X2.

Series 60 2nd Edition Feature Pack 1 (Version 2.1), based on Symbian OS 7.0s; My Nokia 6620

Also I found this link:
http://memphisx.freesuperhost.com/EN/SX1/fswalpaper.htm
That goes to a tutorial on creating a theme like update DIRECTLY into the firmware for the N-Gage QD & Siemens SX1; But I warn strongly against doing it. Dont do it , Dont do it, Dont Do it. You shouldn't do so Don't do it.

That last bit is something my last tech support trainer told me about making drastic changes on SK II accounts without verification. It always stuck, lol.
